Welcome to "DOWNTOWN RETREAT"
Enjoy all that Brevard and surrounding areas have to offer from our wonderful location. No need to drive to the restaurants, shops, library, churches or Franklin Park as they're all within walking distance .

"Downtown Retreat" is a lovely 1950's ranch that has been totally remodeled. Enjoy the open floor plan with comfortable furnishings throughout. The large deck in back has a gas grill and furniture for enjoying outdoor dining . The screened in porch overlooks a large private back yard where you can enjoy the white squirrels and birds or just relax with your feet up.
Pets are not accepted and house is non smoking .

"Downtown Retreat" has 2 large bedrooms, each with private baths. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a large private closet, a flat screen tv and a double shower with sliding doors. A second bedroom that has 2 twin beds and a bath with both tub and shower combination. (A third bedroom with queen bed is available at an additional cost with owner approval.

The kitchen is fully furnished with stainless appliances and lots of cooking equipment for the chef. It joins a small breakfast area. One can sit and watch the morning news or just push back in a recliner and enjoy the breeze coming from the open french doors that join the screened in porch.

Enjoy all that Brevard and surrounding areas have to offer from our wonderful location. No need to drive to the restaurants, shops, library, churches or Silvermont and Franklin Park as they're all within walking distance .

Saturday's Tailgate Market where you can purchase local produce, a variety of baked goods and regional crafts along with meat and eggs is only a few steps away. There are also some wonderful coffee shops and bakeries close by. Enjoy Brevard's small town charm and meet some of its friendly people . Stay while and enjoy a variety of music each Saturday morning starting at 8am.

Brevard Music Center with it's wonderful summer programs is only 2 miles away and Brevard College is within walking distance.

This area is known as the Land of the Waterfalls with great hiking trails in Dupont State Forest, Gorges State Park and Pisgah National Forest. There are many outdoor activities close by for children and adults. The Cradle of Forestry and the Fish Hatchery are among the many favorites for kids. Trout fishing in the local streams and mountain biking also are available.

A location in downtown Brevard....a very short walk to everything, but yet on a quiet side street. The Saturday morning Farmers Market is a 2 min. walk. Large home & yard for the area, & we saw White Squirrels often in the serene back yard. Very well equipped home for a long term stay. Hosts are very accommodating & friendly.

Ideal Location in Brevard

Very accommodating for our adult family. Easy walking distance to Brevard and all on one level. Very clean and spacious interior. Cooked on the outdoor gas grill and enjoyed the paved driveway for easy access. We walked to restaurants and of course the White Squirrel Festival. Very pleased with our 3-day stay.

Convienient, walkable near Farmer's Market

Just a block from the fun Saturday Farmer's market and a couple of blocks from the charming downtown, this home was a perfect location. Spotless and spacious, this updated home is comfortable and includes items that would make a long stay interesting, like games, puzzles and books. We only used the well furnished kitchen for coffee and tea, but everything you need to cook is present. The owner made checkin easy with a lockbox and clear instructions. We stay here again if we need to rent!

GREAT LOCATION!

Second time we have stayed at this location. Love it. So nice just to walk downtown. House is clean, roomy and Jan is a great communicator. Grew up in Brevard and it's always fun to reconnect with old friends.

This house was comfortable and very convenient to downtown Brevard. Just a couple block walk and you are there. Also welcome center close and staff in there very knowledgeable on hiking the areas wonderful waterfalls. We hope to return again sometime. Thank you .

Great House Close to Downtown

We just stayed in Brevard for a long Father’s Day weekend. The house was exactly what we wanted. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The back yard was full of fireflies in the evening and they put on a show. Even saw a white squirrel. Very walkable to downtown with all the shops and restaurants. Jan was super with the ease of check in and out. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful home-Perfect location!

The house was exactly as advertised and was perfect for a 8 day stay in beautiful Brevard. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the screened patio each morning and evening watching the squirrels, birds and rabbits. The location was ideal to walking to dinner (one block off Main). The neighborhood was clean and quiet. We have stayed in several VRBOs in Brevard over the years and this is our favorite. Jan was a wonderful host and very attentive. It was like talking with an old friend. We’re looking forward to coming back!

So close to town

Jan was so nice and communicated with us well! She filled up the bird feeder prior to our stay and we were able to see 2 white squirrels!! It was little touches like this that made our trip perfect! There was plenty of room for our family of 3. We were able to walk into town which was awesome to not have to fight looking for parking! Would definitely stay here again! Also, Jan was accommodating to our schedule and allowed us to check in about 3 hours early! It was such a treat!

Wonderful Brevard Getaway

We loved our stay at Downtown Brevard. Beautiful property with a large yard and driveway parking. We had several meals at the house and the kitchen was well equipped. We also walked to downtown for a few meals too, which was really convenient and a great way to get to know Brevard. We bought local peaches at the Saturday Farmer's Market which is practically across the street. Also, the location is just a great jumping off point for hiking to waterfalls and enjoying all that Brevard has to offer. Plenty of space for our family of four to relax. Owner provided clear instructions and was easy to communicate with. So happy we had this warm and inviting home to stay at our vacation!

Mountain Song Weekend

Great location, great communication, lots of space, dated, but clean. Kitchen had everything needed. Small TV screens, Dish satellite didn’t offer good choice channel options. Beautiful backyard. Manager even left us home grown tomatoes from her garden!

Great Location! Short walk to town!

This property worked out beautifully for 2 couples--each had a private bedroom and bath. We were there for a week, and cooked in every night Everything we needed was there for us! We loved sitting on the porch with our morning coffee and with our wine in the evening. The first day we had one white squirrel visit. Toward the end of our trip, another white squirrel joined the first and on the last day, a third white squirrel was there! It was so much fun to watch them play with the other squirrels and the one chipmunk! The location is so convenient. About a block to the Farmer's Market, and only a few short blocks to town. We loved everything about this home and Jan was so easy to work with. We'll definitely be back when we visit Brevard again!

Great spot, close to town

It was a great place. Everything was clean, and up to date. It had everything I needed in the kitchen to cook, and a nice big back yard, bigger than the photos suggest. I saw one of Brevard's famous white squirrels there! The one small hiccup we had was handled quickly and professionally by the owner. The one puzzling thing, is that this was advertised as a 3 bedroom, but the third bedroom was locked when we arrived. A sign said that it was available for an additional charge. We only needed one bedroom, so it was no problem, but if you go here with a larger group, ask if the third bedroom will be locked or not. We were never told ahead of time that the third bedroom would be locked, so I felt like this was a bait and switch. Also, although there were two full bathrooms, they were both inside the door of two different bedrooms. In other words, two bedrooms were suites with their own bathrooms, but there were no other bathrooms in the house. It wasn't a problem for me, but it would be weird if we had a larger group, and someone was using that third bedroom.

This is a really nice property and the host was very hospitable. It was a quiet area but still close enough to downtown that we walked to town each day for shopping and restaurants. We, being three ladies whose ages range from 58 to 78. :-). We thoroughly enjoyed our 'get away' visit to Brevard!
