Nestled amongst the moss, rhododendrons, and mountain laurel, Nearly Eden offers its guests unmatched tranquility. Wake up to the cool dawn, birds chirping outside your window, and the subtle sounds of the farm across the way. Watch the sun slip over the mountains in the distance as you sip your coffee, or morning mimosa, along with fresh pumpkin bread from Four Sisters Bakery, on the front porch. With all it has to offer, Nearly Eden is a paradise built for two.

Inside, you'll find an open floor plan living space with the bedroom tucked away from the rest of the space. The modern kitchen is stocked with everything you need to craft delicious meals. Whip up your favorite lunch treat on the black granite countertops. With granite countertops and delightful red cabinets, you'll have a lovely time whipping up your treat or unpacking takeout from one of our lovely local restaurants.

Cozy up in front of the fire, with a movie on the TV, as you enjoy a sushi roll and Japanese fried rice from Sake Sushi in Cheshire Village. Spend the latter part of your evening soaking in the hot tub on the back porch and watch the fireflies dance in the rhododendron groves in the summer. Spend your free time, when not working remotely from the dedicated workstation in the living area, exploring the beauty of the Asheville area. Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway to cruise along the mountain tops, stopping to capture a lovely moment or hike down to a small creek or vista. Peaceful Retreat

A peaceful retreat with the wonderful sounds of birds chirping. The furniture was comfortable for relaxing and sleeping. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing. We love to shop for pottery and antiques, which could be easily found in Black Mountain, Asheville, Brevard and other nearby towns!

Great hideaway

The cottage is in the perfect spot, close to downtown Black Mountain but in a quiet & peaceful area. All the neighbors were friendly, even the turkeys we saw throughout the day. It was a really clean place & set up perfectly for 2 people.

House was super cute and beautiful view!

We enjoyed our stay at Nearly Eden. When first driving up and some of the surrounding areas you think hmmm... but the house was private and had great views. The only few drawbacks were there was literally no storage space for groceries with no cabinet space. The water pressure in shower was very low. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

It is on a residential street but tucked away in an acre of woods. Front porch has a bit of a view of the majestic mountains. A peaceful and safe setting. Very convenient location for Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking. Had concerns with another rental and Susan from Greybeard Rentals immediately coordinated a move to this lovely cabin. Will happily stay again and rent through Greybeard Rentals.

Thanksgiving 2023

The property is great if there are only two of you. Lighting could be better. The heat couldn't keep the house warm enough, especially the bedroom, where there is no heat. Water temp and pressure leave something to be desired. Also, there is no dishwasher, even though they provide the pods and tell you how to use it. All hand washing with lukewarm water. TVs were unusually small for a rental home. Overall, a decent stay but somwhat lacking in amenities, considering the nightly rate.

The sweet little cabin was great for a couple’s trip. The location was fine and private. Would have loved a little better view of the mountains but our small view was adequate.

Great Place!!

Great place! Just as described. Nice location, quiet! Didn't see a person for five days. Loved it! I definetly recommend it if you're going to the Ashville area.

Sweet getaway in need of a clean

Very nice little cabin that feels like you’re in the woods away from the world but still pretty close to many sights. Unfortunately it wasn’t very clean. We had to wash all the glasses before using them as there was nasty stuff in them, the sheets had an unfortunate red stain, and it was dusty.

Sweet little place

This was a sweet little escape for our belated honeymoon. Loved the hot tub and view of the trees. Our last morning we saw a doe watching us while in the hot tub and birds sung to us each day. Very peaceful place to stay. Kitchen was equipped with the basics. Very close to beautiful hiking trails and asheville. Getting to the cabin on the property sometimes involved driving past a barking dog that seemed upset at our arrival but once at the cabin it felt like no one was around. The hill is a bit of a climb into the driveway but our rental van did ok. We enjoyed our time and would return. Thank you!

Wonderful time

The place was wonderful. Had a great stay at the Eden property. It was on a nice private road which lead to a wooded area that was quite. The cabin inside and out was amazing. The management company left us a starter kit which was so nice to have. Our stay was perfect and would recommend this property to family and friends. The place was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for a lovely short vacation to the mountains.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay! It was a lovely cabin that was a perfect fit for two people. Also in a great location that was remote, but also a short drive to downtown Asheville or to hikes. The only issue was some with problems with the wifi, so if you need internet reliability, that's something to consider.

Amazing retreat

Woods on one side and alpacas on the other! Perfect little cabin with hot tub, fireplace and the most comfortable vrbo bed I've ever been in! The kitchen is amazing and honestly makes me want the smaller fridge and cabinet contained washer dryer. 9 minutes straight into town!!!

Great secluded cabin

Great location and view! Wonderful cabin with a cute modern chic feel. Only complaint is the hot tub side wall jets were broken. We booked for a hot tub experience and this was less than satisfactory. Water pressure in shower was also kinda low. The cabin, location, and alpacas were awesome!

Nice place

Would stay there again. We did have an uninvited guest we found in the bedroom once we climbed in bed and turned on the fan, a bat decided he didn't like the fan on and flew around it while it was on. A.mainatenance guy came by and we were able to get him out but other than that, the stay was perfect.

Great cabin in perfect location

This cabin is really perfect. It is a long narrow one bedroom cabin that has a very nice rustic/contemporary interior. Good WiFi, cable tv, and a Bluetooth sound bar to connect to your phone snd listen to your music. The kitchen is great, the beds were comfortable, the front porch had a great view and the back porch was very private. We enjoyed mornings and evenings in the hot tub. We loved hiking the Montreat rainbow trail and Lookout mountain. The community of Black Mountains is only seven minutes away, it has all kinds of carry out food options. Asheville is so like 20 minutes.

Cute place

Adorable cabin in Black Mountain, outside of Asheville. The cabin was clean and perfect for 2. No smart TV (could use an update on the electronics) but there’s so much to do in the area, it wasn’t too big of a deal. I wish someone had told me how cute downtown Black Mountain is! We didn’t realize it until we were dropping off the garbage at the rental company. The house is not in the best area or Black Mountain but secluded enough that it doesn’t matter. Please, please please... go see downtown Black Mountain if you get a chance. We will be coming back to check out the hiking and downtown area!
