Lucerne Chalet - Treetop Mountain Views In Downtown Asheville -FP, Dog Friendly!
Lucerne Chalet is one of our more spacious downtown Asheville chalets. It has two bedrooms, and one and a half bathrooms, and is conveniently located just FIVE minutes to eclectic downtown Asheville, the South Slope, the River Arts District, the Blue Ridge Parkway, New Belgium Brewery, the Biltmore Estate, and much more.
Nestled in the treetops, you can gaze at the mountains from the gated porch and stroll through the quiet neighborhood with your dog. Cozy up to the gas fireplace in the living room.
NOTES This property is 1.3 miles from the heart of downtown, but we would recommend transportation since it's not walker-friendly.
No grill at the house.
ALL mountain roads can be steep and dark at times. They may be daunting to an inexperienced mountain driver. The Lucerne Chalet is located in a quiet mountain subdivision on a circular one-lane road. Although it's a short road with street lights, it is tight, steep, and curvy. Please try to plan your arrival during the daytime if you are intimidated by mountain roads.
No smoking, vaping, or candles.
Must be at least 25 years old to reserve this property.

Stayed in this unit for 2 weeks and loved the unit and location. Very convenient to downtown and to the interstates. Very nice tree top setting. Once we navigated the winding roads, it was a non-issue.
Very close to downtown with many dining options close by, but a feel of being in the mountains. Quiet setting and very comfortable accommodations. Would definitely stay again.
Great location to everything we wanted to do. Chalet was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Loved sitting on the patio in rocking chairs.
Lucerne Chalet was a perfect place for our Asheville visit. It is nicely appointed and was spotless. It is centrally located providing easy access to all of AVL! We highly recommend it. We will definitely stay there again!
Very nice small community of cottages. Very convenient to all the Asheville areas that you will want ti visit.
Plenty of food shopping, restaurants, etc. very close by.
We cooked meals at our place here and was plenty adequate.
Would recommend staying here!
This is one of our favorite places to stay when we come to Asheville. It is very private, feels like you are in a tree house yet it is right off Tunnel Road and the Freeway near downtown Asheville. An Ingles and Starbucks is just down the hill only 10 minutes away. Lyft had no trouble finding us even though we initially got lost when we first checked in. The house is only 20 minutes from Biltmore Estate. The house is immaculate. There are two nice sized bedrooms, with very firm mattresses. One bedroom has a small closet sized half bath with a sink and toilet. There is one full bathroom with a great shower. The kitchen is completely stocked. You can basically cook anything you want to as it has everything you could need for cooking a full meal. We didn't cook at all but it was nice that it is available. The layout is open concept, with a nice sized dining table and a great couch and smart TV.The host is a great communicator, when we texted her we always got a reply within minutes.
House was wonderful, super close and so convenient to everything downtown. Check in process was a breeze. Very informative packet ahead of time and in the house!
This house was perfect for our weekend getaway to Asheville. We loved that it was so close to town yet felt like you were up in the mountains. It was easy to get to downtown and also wasn’t far to get on the parkway and hike. The description of the house and how to get to it was accurate. It had everything we needed and we will come back again.
Location was perfect for exploring Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the chalet had everything we needed. Owners were very responsive. Do be careful on the steep and narrow mountain roads, especially if you are driving a larger vehicle.
A little glitch with the entry code… didn’t receive any notice of how to avoid getting locked out if you didn’t set the keypad yk unlock. Other than that our stay was just fine. Nice chalet with nice views of the sunrise coming over the mountains in the morning. Good job!
This house was cozy and comfortable. Great for our family of four. Convenient to downtown. Though if you have a big truck, bike rack and 4 bikes the driveway/neighborhood is a little difficult to navigate (doable but difficult). :)
Everything charming and overall comfortable. Limited TV station access that didn't match up with the printed channel listings provided - a small inconvenience. Would book there again.
This place was described in pictures and in real time just as I hoped for. A great place to feel close enough to Asheville, yet like it was a vacation in the mountains. Do believe what they say about arriving during daylight. It was a very narrow and winding road. Everything provided was very nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at the Lucerne Chalet. The property is exactly as described and more! The house is located very close to all that Asheville has to offer, but is nestled in the mountainside. The house is clean and comfortable, and the kitchen included all the amenities that we needed for our stay. They even left out bowls for our dog's food and water. So thoughtful! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The Lucerne Chalet is a wonderful place today. The chalet is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, etc. The beds were quite comfortable.
The fenced in dog run was a nice bonus spot for the dogs to stretch their legs off the leash.
We loved the neighborhood, love being tucked in the woods.
The owner and the property manager clearly take pride in their properties!
Sweet cabin hideaway in the mountains, near the Biltmore & Omni Golf resort. Perfect location for us. 4 WD recommended, but smaller vehicle. Near to the Ingles grocery store & olive garden.
We golfed at a spectacular course@ the Omni resort & ate at the Edison only a short shuttle up the hill. Fantastic vacation surrounded by beautiful trees. 😍
The house was just as described; it was very clean with upscale appliances.
The only downside was that we felt we were shoehorned in. The roads were very narrow and it took us a while to figure out how to get to the house; however, this was all in the description so there were no surprises.
We would definitely stay there again.
