This rental was impeccably renovated and extremely clean. It was on a quiet, shady side street about a 12 minute walk from 1st or 2nd Ave beaches. All the appliances worked well and we had everything we needed (beach supplies). The air conditioning also was effective and quiet (central air). I appreciated the electronic keypad check-in because all 3 adults with me did not have to share keys and could come in and out as needed. The furniture was comfy, and the whole apartment looked like it had been decorated by an interior decorator. Very upscale.This isn’t a criticism but I want to call it out for parents of young kids: the rental itself was not very family-friendly for little ones. We had to bring our own baby items (pack n play, baby gate, booster seat) for my two-year old, and the dishes were very nice ceramic and glass that I was concerned he would break. Beach badges were also not provided and there’s no off-street parking so you’ll be circling the block looking for a spot which can be tough with little ones. And, getting the stroller up the front stairs can be a challenge. But this was not the fault of the rental, just a feature. I think for families with older kids (elementary and up) this would be a great place, or for singles or couples looking for a weekend getaway. Kids can stay upstairs and have their own space while parents are downstairs off the common area.William was very attentive and reachable throughout the weekend. I would give him 5 stars as a host!
