The room does smell a bit damp and moldy. Unusual for California. The couch is really old - I didn't want to sit on it. They didn't have duvet cover and just two sheets that made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. It was reasonably priced. That's the best advantage.

I liked the classy ambiance even though it was a casino hotel, no loud music or rucus. It was truly a luxury hotel with clean and comfortable beds, a spacious and clean shower and a soundproof room .

The best customer service and attention to detail in all of my hotel stays. Daniel at the front desk was excellent! The staff who got our rental on a daily basis were great. The cleaning staff was awesome and upstairs restaurant staff at The Penthouse restaurant were spectacular. If you’re going to stay in Santa Monica I highly recommend staying at the Huntley Hotel!
