"Stayed three nights in June in one of the suites with a balcony. Beautiful property in the high farmlands in the Julian Alps. Recently converted (in May? of 2025) a farm and farmhouse into an awesome hotel with 13 rooms in two different buildings. The hotel owners definitely didn’t cut corners - buildings, grounds, kitchen, decorations, furniture, etc. Room amenities were exquisite. Staff was super friendly and patient. "Wonderful staff, concierge was very helpful when our bags were delayed and we were able to dine despite only having travel clothes. Room was cozy but very thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was excellent, was was the optional chefs dinner with wine pairing. "

"The hotel is right at the heart of the city Villach. It has a special charm as the building is historic, but all facilities and rooms are brought up to standard and met our expectations. At 8:30am in the morning you will hear the church bell (two strikes to announce the half hour) as it is custom in many of the mid-town hotels in Austria.
