Hotel Marburger Hof

Hotel Marburger Hof

10/10 Excellent
"Germany is very eco-oriented. If you decline a daily cleaning you can put a small bag on the knob and they will skip your room but put in a little gift of some sort. If you are renting a car, parking is a little problematic as it is in many hotels and cities in Europe. The hotel underground parking spaces are very small. If you have a larger vehicle it is almost impossible to navigate the space. We did end up with a scratch on the rental vehicle. We will rent smaller cars going forward. Breakfasts were varied for all tastes and complimentary, definitely a plus! Staff were great, room perfect, location perfect for touring Marburg. Would definitely recommend."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Argenstein?
The best areas to stay in Argenstein are the village centre itself for convenience or the immediate surrounding countryside for a tranquil escape.

The village centre of Argenstein is small yet offers good access to local amenities and transport. You'll find a few local shops and eateries, and the main bus routes connecting to larger towns like Marburg are easily accessible. It's an excellent base for exploring the Lahn Valley.

Couples looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat will enjoy staying just outside the village centre in the surrounding countryside. This area provides access to walking and cycling paths along the Lahn River and through the picturesque fields and forests.
When is the best time to go to Argenstein?
The best time to visit Argenstein is during the warmer months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is generally pleasant for outdoor activities.

During this period, you can expect mild to warm temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding natural beauty, such as the Lahn River valley and the nearby nature parks. The longer daylight hours also allow for more extensive sightseeing and leisurely strolls through the charming village.

For couples looking for a romantic escape, late spring (May-June) offers blossoming landscapes and fewer crowds, great for enjoying peaceful walks and alfresco dining. The summer months (July-August) are excellent for those who enjoy water activities on the Lahn River, such as canoeing or paddleboarding, and for attending local festivals.

Families will find the summer months particularly appealing, as the warmer weather is great for outdoor adventures and there are often family-friendly events in the region.
