"great place if you are going to bajos del toro. great view of volcano, loved the jacuzzi. perfect for travel group.
breakfast was a little bit expesive at 3500 colones for gallo pinto"
"I loved the room, the breakfast, the pool, the grounds (there were wonderful paths leading to nearby goats that you could see on a neighboring property). There was a sauna and a hot tub but neither was on. There was a sign for yoga but I didn't see any yoga session."
"This was a wonderful first stop on our vacation as is it was midway betweeen San Jose and La Fortuna. We stayed in the family villa for 2 nights and found it to be spacious with beautifully landscaped grounds. The local waterfalls were easily accessible and we could walk to local restaurants. It was a highlight of our trip!"
"We had lizards in the room and NO hot water! The electrical outlets were limited. Very over-priced! The staff was friendly, but the rooms were a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!"
"We had a wonderful stay with Blue Morph. The hosts Susan and Juan went out of their way to help us with anything. This alone was really great. The fire pit in rancho is awesome . It would also
Be helpful to have an activity sheet with options. Loved the area and would recommend checking it out for cloud forest exploration and the waterfalls. Don’t expect to have all the activities mapped out. You gotta figure it out. "

"Where do I even start!? The staff, hands down, make this place a gem. Lucy greeted us and welcomed us with a warm smile and very kind demeanor. Arlen delivered room service in the pouring rain on our first night after a super long travel day. They are expanding and improving the property so there was a little construction and temporary fixes in place while the property was being improved and it didn’t bother us one bit. The location is phenomenal, easy access to everything. The grounds are immaculately kept. Plenty of places to lounge around. It’s also very private and romantic. I have not one bad thing to say about Noah’s Forest. With so many places to stay, I’m glad we chose to stay here and would stay there again on future visits. Lucy, Arlen, ChiChi, Eric, Kevin and the rest of the team go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. Thank you for making this trip unforgettable! Pura Vida!!"
"I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tangara Arenal. I booked the bungalow option, and it was a great choice. The bungalow was surrounded by plants and trees, with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing or reading while it rained—and when it rains, it pours! The metal roof made the sound of the rain noticeable, but I found it soothing, like white noise.
We visited during the wet season and had the usual afternoon showers, but it never bothered us. The room was spacious, with a smart TV, mini fridge, and work area. Even with another bungalow nearby, we barely saw or heard anyone.
The hotel is easy to find on the main road to town. You’ll need a car or taxi to get around, but since we had a car, it was simple. Breakfast was included and served plated at the on-site restaurant—we ate there daily and also enjoyed dinner one evening. The food was tasty. The location felt safe and quiet, with a police station just a short distance away.
The only area for improvement is the shower. The handheld showerhead didn’t have a holder, and there wasn’t space to set toiletries. Adding a mount and some shelving would make it more comfortable.
Overall, this hotel offers great value, a peaceful atmosphere, and convenient access to activities. I’d definitely recommend it."
"The perspective of Vulcan Arenal was perfect from this perfectly situated property. Great food ranging from Costa Rican to international, available throughout the day.
I preferred their salt water pool to staying at a different resort which featured thermal pools- then we chose to drive back to eat here once more- so good. Just know in advance that you may not drive to your room; must take a jitney."
"Husband and I had a pleasant stay at chachagua. We arrived late at night and was greeted at the front desk with hand towels and fruit juice. Checking in was smooth and we were escorted to our bungalow (make sure to have a high car as you will drive through a low river).
Bungalow was private and very clean. The room was cleaned daily and there was eco friendly hair products and toiletries. Room has a mini fridge, coffee maker and fresh water daily.
Continental breakfast was amazing - at a restaurant on premises. Great selection!
The springs were great- wasn’t a lot of people and we were able to enjoy it solo.
The resort was beautiful and tranquil. You can hear the animals throughout the day esp the monkeys in the morning. We didnt get to see the monkey but we did see a sloth up in the tree- thanks to Ruben (who btw gave a great coffee/ chocolate tour).
Big thank you to all the staff members- from the gentleman who greets you when entering, front desk staff, house keeping, and restaurant waiters/waitresses. All very pleasant and super helpful when we had any questions or concerns.
Pura Vida. :)

"Te property is located a few meters from the La fortuna Central Park. If I have to say something to improve at the place, the hotel has not elevator to access 2nd floor. my score of the property is 9 of 10"
