"Clean room, restroom needs a vent, simple but had what we needed"

"The hotel generally looked well maintained, but the TV in our room didn't work, and neither did the plug that my wife thought was charging her iPad. When I reported this to the receptionist at checkout I got a cheerful, "Thanks! I'll report this to maintenance. You're all checked out!" I didn't press the issue."

"Really mixed stay. Great: ~Staff friendly ~Room clean Good: ~Breakfast (waffles and sausage delicious, but no eggs) Bad: ~Loud Noise in Room: Our room, 202, had a refrigerator that made a crazy amount of noise, cycling on and off through the night. It was annoying enough that we had a bad night's sleep (#1 priority for a hotel in my opinion). ~Disgusting Luke Warm Hot Tub: We booked the hotel because it had a hot tub. We have a pretty high tolerance for imperfect hot tubs at hotels (gotta be realistic), but this one was about 97-98 degrees (I actually like "cooler" hot tubs at about 100-101, but this one was too cold to stay in). There were tons of nasty debris floating in the water. The whole surface of the hot tub looked like the attached picture. (We used in evening, so maybe we got unlucky and they clean in the morning?) "This hotel has a great location to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It is a beautiful new building, clean, secured parking garage, decent breakfast, and spacious rooms. Unfortunately we encountered a few problems during our stay which was disappointing given the price for our room. We reserved a 2 queen + sofa bed for our family of four. The beds did not seem like queen size beds, more like doubles. The sofa bed was broken - one section wouldn't lock in place, so there was a valley then the end angled upwards. Blankets and linens for the sofa bed were not in the room. We tried calling the front desk @ 10pm but no one answered the phone. I went down to the lobby, and a sign at the desk said the employee was on a 15 minute break. When he returned, he gave me and another guest (with the same issue) the requested linens. The outlets on the nightstand didn't work for my husband's CPAP machine. Again, disappointing hassles for an expensive night's stay."
