My family had the best experience at this hotel. From the front staff to the dining staff. Top notch. Friendly, helpful, and just wonderful people wanting to make our stay, perfect. The hotel is historic dating back to the 12th century. Thank you, Hotel Torre Barbara staff!

Reasonable location, about 20 minutes walk uphill from Amalfi ferry, but don't do it with luggage as the road is narrow in parts and busy with traffic! Great view from our room and the air conditioning was a life-saver. We didn't know, but they can help you with transfers from the ferry and to/from the aiport. Would have been good to know that before we paid 30EUR for a 4-minute tuk-tuk ride up the hill when we arrived, and we had also booked the bus to the airport before we got there. You can't have your own food and drink here, which we thought was a miss as it meant we had to eat out every night. One night in particular we just wanted to grab a pizza and sit on the terrace to enjoy with the view but we weren't able to do that. Overall, okay place to stay but I think I'd try somewhere else next time.

Great room albeit a bit more furniture would have made it more comfortable- ie seating for 3 people not 2 since since we have a room that apparently would have slept 4…. , great view, amazing breakfasts and lovely helpful staff. Only other point would be the amenities which were attached to the wall and not as luxurious as i would have expected for a hotel at this level so this let it down. Nice location on outskirts with a welcome walk back after dinner.
