This area is the heart of Ano Zervochorion, characterised by traditional stone houses and narrow, winding streets. The main square often features a church, a few local tavernas, and a mini-market, providing a convenient base for exploring. It's a small, quiet village, so everything is within easy walking distance.

For those seeking a peaceful retreat, the village centre is ideal. It offers a genuine taste of rural Greek life, with opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and interact with residents.

The best time to go to Ano Zervochorion is during the spring (April to June) or autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities.

Spring offers mild temperatures, blooming wildflowers, and lush green landscapes, making it ideal for hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the region. It's a particularly good time for those who enjoy photography and want to capture the scenic vistas without the intense summer heat.

Autumn also provides comfortable temperatures and beautiful foliage as the leaves change colour, creating a picturesque setting. This season is great for couples seeking a peaceful escape, perhaps enjoying leisurely walks through the countryside or visiting local wineries for tastings. The grape harvest often takes place in early autumn, offering a unique cultural experience.

While summer (July and August) is warm and sunny, it can be quite hot, especially for extensive outdoor pursuits.
