"Thanks Robin and Christine for an amazing stay! I really didn’t want to go home. It’s a beautiful area and the house was perfect - it’s really well equipped and practical but there’s also a lot of attention to detail and thought put into it which made it a really special place."

"This lovely old pub in the heart of in the Sussex countryside is cosy and welcoming. It's a hotel/inn, pub, and Jamaican-focused restaurant all rolled into one. The welcome was as warm as the Caribbean from hosts Barrie (Jamaican) and Drexie (German), the husband and wife combo running this place. There's a nice garden in the back for summer nights and BBQs. The rooms are pleasant with traditional touches and modern fittings and wonderful linens. The shower is a bit weak. The bar is well stocked with a wide range of beers and a good wine list from wine buff Barrie. Full English breakfast was wonderful, high quality. We noted the appealing Jamaican lunch and dinner menu and will be coming back for that."

"Convenient accommodation and parking to attend the opera at Glyndebourne. Room comfortable, but difficult to open the windows, and there appeared to be damp in the bathroom floor below the cistern. Good selection for the help-yourself buffet breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Parking easily accessible, but very crowded on arrival at 2pm on a Friday afternoon."

"The mid-terrace house is very handy for Lewes and it was a very convenient place to stay for a few days. There were permits to park the car on the street in front, which was great. It was rather confusing as I'd thought that was the case when I'd booked but then I'd been told there was no parking in the message just before I arrived. It was very comfy and had pretty much all you could want."

"Lewes Heights is a large house on the outskirts of Lewes, but a short drive from the centre. It is very well appointed and equipped and has six bedrooms and can sleep up to ten persons. Everything about it works well to provide comfort and ease of living. There are some excellent views out to the downs and the garden is attractive and a comfortable place in which to spend time. We had a very pleasant two nights there and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is not cheap, but provides excellent value for money. The owner was very helpful and rapidly responsive. Strongly recommended"
