"The hotel was clean, the room was modern and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. However, we were unable to use the pool because the pump had broken that day. Given that the pool was the reason why we chose that hotel this was disappointing. That said, when I raised the issue with management, they were polite and offered a reasonable partial refund, so very positive. My main area of complaint however, is that check in was not until 4pm and check out was at 11am. Why should it take 5 hours to clean a room? This wasn't mentioned prior to booking, neither was an additional charge for use of the car park. Cost for 3 rooms for one night was in excess of £500. I would have expected the car parking to be free. "

"We had a great time staying at the property. It was clean and very charming. The welcome card and pack was very much appreciated. We had a great time on the tiky tab in the garden. If you use it give yourself at least 2 hours for.the fire to warm the water but when done , bathing under the stars was something different. Another property on the short list for us to come back to."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kingfisher Cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful setting.From the moment we arrived, Janet and Mark made us feel so welcome. They were so friendly and kindly showed us around the cottage and facilities, which was such a lovely personal touch. The welcome pack for us and our dogs was incredibly thoughtful, and the fresh flowers were a beautiful touch that made the cottage feel so inviting.The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. It genuinely felt like a home from home — comfortable, cosy, and very well equipped.The location is stunning, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The two enclosed dog fields were absolutely perfect for us and a huge bonus, as our dogs loved having the space to run around safely.Janet and Mark were fantastic hosts throughout and so welcoming, even when we had a little mishap with the key!We loved every minute of our stay, and our dogs did too.
