"Beautiful old chateau. Very comfy beds. No one around when we arrived. Had to wander the grounds looking for someone to check us in. We were offered a soft drink when the lady finally arrived. Never met the owners during our two days stay. We presumed they must be on holiday. Previous reviews were not the same as our experience. "

"Claire met us at a prearranged time (we were 20 minutes late) and explained all the workings. We were content with all the facilities. The house was well equipped and well maintained, close to essential services but rural and tranquil. Claire is very competent and friendly. We liked the goats, who grew fat on our vegetable peelings. "

"Chateau is beautiful and in a very peaceful spot. I would describe it as 'shabby chic' as there are areas where money could be spent. However it is lovely and features such as the sweeping staircase, chandelier's and furniture look gorgeous. Town is only 4 miles away with a range of restaurants. Continental breakfast was great and plentiful. Only met 1 member of staff at breakfast but she was lovely and gave us some of the history of the chateau. Another English couple were staying in Kings Room and showed us around. Will book that room next time, if possible! Would definitely come back."
