"Hotel was noticeably old and there was a lot of active construction items laying around. Lots of junk items laying around. Under the awning there was an old drink machine laid on its side being used as a catch all for empty cans and other trash. At one time I told the room attendant that we did t need total room service but if we could just get two towels and would Be good. She told me that ALL the towel were used up and she didn’t have any more to get me any. I must say this upset me that “there were NO MORE TOWELS at the property”? So I told her to go to one of the empty rooms and get me two, which she did. Other than that it was a place for me to sleep out of the rain."

"My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the cabin. It was exactly like the listing described. I loved the rustic feeling of the cabin. Beautifully decorated with a bear theme. It had everything we needed for our stay. I loved that it was secluded, but yet close to everything we were doing. The wifi was spotty at times, but we weren't there to be connected. We wanted to enjoy our time together and enjoying the outdoors. The only con was that we only had 3 nights. I would definitely stay at the cabin again if we were in the area. Thank you Stacy for allowing us to stay at your family's cabin."

"My husband & I stayed at this quaint cabin & enjoyed the peace & quiet. Our favorite thing was the front porch where we spent time just relaxing, enjoying the scenery of the yard & mountains, & watching the various birds coming to the feeder. One evening, we just sat there until after dark listening to the night sounds of birds & the river flowing in the distance. So very peaceful which is what we needed."

"This is one of our favorite, if not THE favorite rental, we've ever had. It is definitely the most well stocked rental. They have so much stuff it would be easier to list things they don't have. It's not just the kitchen supplies either. They've thought of things I have never seen a host provide. And, what others have, they have more. More games, interesting books, plenty of firewood for the outdoor firepit, etc... The cottage itself is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The reclining sofa in the living room makes for some enjoyable movie night relaxation. The hosts were available but never overbearing. They communicated that the cottage was ready for check-in and then asked how we were doing about halfway through our 4 night stay. When I reached out to them, they responded quickly. They do warn you about the driveway before you are committed to the rental which is very nice. It is a challenging climb that they say requires 4 wheel drive. I could see that being necessary in difficult weather but I have a lot of experience handling these types of terrain so I didn't have an issue in my 2 wheel drive truck. However, I still think is very nice of them to warn people ahead of time. I can not recommend this cottage enough. If we return to Highlands, we will absolutely stay here again."

What a beautiful house and a majestic location. Host was great at communicating and flexible to our needs. My mother lives right down the road so I will be a repeat customer!!!!"
