"We had a great night staying in the Yurt at Gorgeous Stays! We found it very last minute and it ended up being a highlight of our NC road trip. The inside was decorated with fun details that enhanced the caravan experience! The communal bathrooms weren't too far and were very clean. It rained most of the time but we had no issues. "It was a very cute lodge. My husband and I came up to see my family but did not want to rent a full cabin. The Lodge was perfect and very cost effective. The morning sausage biscuits were amazing! It was very quiet and peaceful. If you are checking in after hours, make sure to let staff know since they do not have someone in the lobby 24/7. Overall, it was great and we would stay here again!"

"This property was beautiful. Located right on the lake, the morning and evening views were gorgeous. The description is a bit deceiving. You get the idea there is a lounge, dining, and other amenities on site, and this is just not true. Within walking distance on, or adjacent to the property you will find food and drinks, but within the lodge itself is only a small coffee shop with pre-made sandwiches and random drinks. The website makes it sound like a true meal and drinks are more convenient that what they really are. It looks to be an older lodge that has been renovated. In our room, the fit and finish was not great. They attached a modern barn slider door to the bathroom and left a 2–3-inch gap because of some older and thick base boards. If privacy in the bathroom is a must, you would have not been pleased with this. The fan in the bathroom did not work so it fogged badly during each shower, and the in-room refrigerator was frozen over. Appeared it had not been serviced or replaced in a long time. Other than that, staff was wonderful, hot water and water pressure for showers was GREAT, and the swimming pool was a bonus. My family will stay there again, but only if the rate is right. We stayed during the week, so rates were not bad at all. Their weekend rates I did not believe were a good value."

"This place was heaven on earth. We wanted to escape the noise and light pollution and this was the perfect place. The cleanliness was top notch and that says a lot coming from this ex OCD professional cleaner. The river and wildlife added to the relaxation. Bob was very quick and responsive from start to finish. Although there were plenty of restaurants, we didn't eat out a single time. We cooked all, meals at the house and enjoyed the chance to reset. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The deer and bird food was a great added extra. We will definitely be back. I cant say enough good things about this rental."
