"We have previously stayed at Domaine de Roiffe. Amazing appart/hotel with restaurant, bar, swimming pool and golf centre. Just driving in is always a pleasure with plenty of space to walk whilst there. Only disappointment was the restaurant. Previously the food has been magnificent, however this time all the main courses were very disappointing! We will stay there again but give the restaurant a miss next time"

"Beautiful property. Very peaceful and private. Good place for rest and relax. Nice pool. Staff very helpful and friendly. With the exception of an unruly family with undisciplined kids at dinner, an awesome experience."

"Nice hotel, for me the location was great. Clean room, dark and quiet at night. Restaurant was nice, had a good dinner. My dog found it very nice, he had easy outdoor access from our room. All in all, great for the price."

"Great location within a small square with cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Public car park next to hotel which is free from 19:00 - 09:15 and not expensive during other times. We didn’t book breakfast but decided to have it. Such a good decision as breakfast was really good with almost too much of a selection. Pastries, breads, cereals, cheeses, hams, salmon, eggs, bacon, juices and much more."

"Our experience was amazing. We stopped for one night on our outward journey and two on our return. Staff were ultra helpful in terms of accommodating us in extreme heat and making our stay as comfortable as possible. Lovely indoor restaurant and pretty courtyard for outdoor breakfast. Both rooms were charming and setting idyllic with easy access to chateau and parking opposite."

"The Hotel is located over the river from Chinon, so a good location for visiting the town and exploring the area. There are 3 parking places outside the hotel but there is a secured off-site car park for hotel guests a short distance away. We visited during the very hot weather in June 26 and our room was very warm at night as a consequence, an electric fan is provided which we had running all night. The breakfast is traditional French fare and very good quality. There is also a courtyard garden which is ideal for relaxing in or taking your breakfast. There is a wide choice of restaurants available in Chinon and we used Bistrot Fauve in the main square, which is associated with the hotel."

"Beautiful historic location with a very kind owner. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. We assumed that breakfast was included with the rate for the room, and discovered when we checked out that we owed €17 per person per breakfast."
