"For the price €103, it absolutely wasn't worth it. It is situated in the middle of nowhere. You have to arrange your breakfast yourself for the next morning. The only thing you get in the evening before, is a bag with bread and some marmelade. The fridge is hardly filled and you have to make your thea or coffee yourself. Besides the awfull smell in the sleepingroom it is an accomodation far beyond nowadays standards. We thought we had become in a horror movie of the worst kind."

"Hubert and Sylvie are excellent hosts, attentive without being intrusive and full of recommendations for exploring the local area. We stay in Normandy most summers and love the culture and warm welcomes in the area. The gite is lovely, with three good sized bedrooms and plenty of space for eating and relaxing. The pool was very welcome after a hot day walking around Rouen, and the friendly cows in the adjoining field were great to see. Bernay is a lovely town with several great restaurants, only about a 5-10 minute drive, although it only takes an hour to walk in down quiet roads through the nearby wood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Hubert, Sylvie and Vodka the dog, and will certainly try to make it back to this lovely quiet corner of the Carentonne!"

"Clean and spacious. We stayed over for one night while travelling south. The reception team were kind and welcoming even in the middle of the night. The hotel was clean and welcoming and we left the next day feeling there was more to come back and see."
