Convenient to Amsterdam and Schiphol. Staff tried best to compensate for a little dated property. We were glad not to be on street side, which can be noisy.

It is true that we are on a busier connecting road to the airport; therefore, all rooms at the front have shutters to reduce noise. Excellent restaurant connected to the small village hotel close to Schiphol. We missed a flight connection and needed a hotel near Schiphol for one night. The hotel, staff and restaurant were the best parts of a bad experience.

Nice hotel close to airport.
Greeted by nice young lady. Room was clean. Nice restaurant attached. Shuttle to airport is 5 euro and takes 15 minutes.

Cozy and Inexpensive
It was clean, cozy and the service was friendly. I would caution people booking that the shuttle runs out of the Ramada (5 Euros), but it was a 1 minute walk. There was only body soap (or all purpose soap) in the shower, so I would recommend bringing your own shampoo.

Nice staff! Nice restaurant! We ate breakfast and dinner every day at the restaurant there. If I visit Amsterdam again, I will go there again. Negative was public transport. To go to Central, you can take the Ramada hotel shuttle to Schipol airport and then take the train. Uber did not seem much available in Amsterdam in general

If you need to stay near the airport in a quiet area, this hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport and a transit ride into Amsterdam centre. We drove a few minute and jumped on Tram 2 for a 30 minute ride to the main station. Easy and interesting. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel very clean and the breakfast buffet tasty.

The room is well-appointed and clean. By -4C outside the heater struggles a bit to keep the room warm. There was no dining in the hotel and no restaurant around, but the person at reception was kind enough to make me breakfast. A few additional notes for Expedia: the hotel is NOT on the hotel shuttle lines, and is is NOT 1.73 miles away from Schiphol. I had to take a cab to the hotel to the tune of 24 euros. To return to the airport, you can order a shuttle from the nearby Ramada hotel and still pay 5 euros. That's almost 30 euros. Expedia please advertise properties as they are.

Room. Cleaned daily. Towels replaced even though we hung them up which in the US means you’re happy to use them again. Beds comfortable. Plenty of hot water. There was always someone at the desk to answer questions and they were very helpful. Breakfast was tasty. King bed was two twins pushed together which is fine except the blankets were also twin and just met, when flat, in the middle. So if you lay in the middle, the blankets didn’t cover. They tucked in the side of the bed on which you get out since they didn’t tuck in the middle. Standing in the tub to shower was a little tight so you had to angle the shower head and this splashed water on the floor since there is no shower curtain. Finally, the ad said full amenities, but there was no conditioner (and shampoo was the body wash).

Enjoyed the property.Very clean. Quiet. No problems. My concern was the front desk failed to let us know that the airport shuttle met at the Ramada Inn and not at the property. Thus we missed our scheduled shuttle and had to take a taxi from Ramada. A new staff member was on duty when we checked in so staff needs to be sure to relay the departure spot for the shutte. Thanks

Great stay!
Had a lovely stay at hotel herbergh. I booked to stay for 2 nights after my flight home was cancelled. At the time I believed that my holiday was ruined. However, the staff and other guests at the hotel were so lovely and accommodating that the final 2 days of my trip were the best of the whole holiday. The room was also very clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

We had a quick 1-night stay to catch a flight from AMS early the next day. The van/shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient. The hotel uses Ramada's airport shuttle service, so guests are dropped-off and picked up from the Ramada hotel, which is a 5min walk from Herbergh. The shuttle is free from the airport to the hotel, but costs 5 euros per person from the hotel to the airport (you must purchase a ticket at Ramada's front desk prior to getting on the van to go to the airport). Overall a pleasant stay without any problems.

We were only at this hotel one night and it met the needs. It was hot and a fan was provided in the room. The only negative was that the floor in the room could have been cleaner. There was hair in the bathroom and a piece of a wrapper next to the bed. The bedding and towels were clean and since it was a short stay we just cleaned up the mess ourselves.

We booked last minute because of a flight cancelation, on Expedia it says free shuttle, but know it is 5 euro per person. The shuttle drops you off about a block from this hotel in front of a Ramada - is rather have stayed at the Ramada. It’s an ok hotel, but very basic and outdated.

Pleasant. Convenient to the airport, but no airport shuttle svc directly to hotel, but a minute walk from neighboring Ramada. Hotel restaurant was charming and modern. Room was very small, especially the bathroom and it was virtually impossible foe 3 people to move areound.

Disappointing stay
We were very disappointed with our stay. We booked this hotel with the specific intention of using the free shuttle to move about to and from the hotel, however, we were later informed that this shuttle was not running at all. We were not provided an alternative transportation other than the recommendation of a bus route or a taxi. Considering the expectation of free transport it was quite disappointing to have to accumulate further unexpected expenses as we had to pay for ourselves. This is despite the reassurance during the booking of the shuttle service being free. No effort was made to coordinate with another hotel or another service (other than the taxi service, which was not free as the shuttle would have been). The service at the front desk felt quite rushed and dismissive of this issue, only providing us with the information as mentioned above. There was also no service during the night when we needed to check out, with the designated key drop-off area being unreachable behind locked door. Last issue was the room itself, which came with two out of five lights not functioning, with no main light in the room itself, making the room really terribly lit and gloomy. Where the lights did work they were insufficient. Overall this stay was very disappointing and disheartening. Would not book again.

We had a car so we were looking for a place to stay relatively close to central Amsterdam that was reasonably priced and had laundry facilities. It was only about 20 minutes to drive downtown. We rented the apartment which was very spacious and clean. Area was very quiet.

The hotel wasn’t close to downtown Amsterdam like the pictures show. The staff was friendly and we could get a shuttle to the airport and ride the train to central station.
