Fine but lots of broken amenities

The room, beds, breakfast and shower were good. We were very disappointed, however, that the pool was closed, and when we went to use the exercise room, none of the equipment worked and the air conditioning was broken. The ice machine on the first floor was also broken.

Excellent stay

The front desk employee was exceptionally kind and professional. He greeted us warmly and seemed genuine in serving us. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Complimentary bottled water and 24/7 coffee and tea was a nice perk. The hotel was also in a convenient location - just down the road from several restaurants and shopping areas. This place exceeded our expectations, especially for the price.

Great stay

The staff where great. We stayed a week, and never once had an issue. Room was clean, guest service was fantastic the staff always greeted us and checked in to see if we needed anything.

Just like being at home!

Second time we stayed here. Couldn’t be more pleased with this hotel. Great condition. Rooms are clean, kept up to date and comfortable. Like being at home. Highly recommend!

Motel was excellent as well as the breakfast. Our only complaint is that someone unplugged the refrigerator and there was a very wet carpet in front of the refrigerator that we got wet before we realized that the carpet was wet. Told the front staff and they said that we could move the next day but decided to stay in our room and we were careful not to walk on the carpet.

The hotel was much better than expected for the price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast wasn’t much to rave about but decent enough. The pool and jacuzzi were clean but small. The work out room had equipment that didn’t work which was a bummer. But overall it was a good hotel.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Very quiet and convenient to freeways. The only thing I would say could have been better is the cleanliness of the room I stayed in. Bathroom door looked like frosting finger marks from little ones as well as on the window. Also the bathtub had that pinkish/red fungus in a couple spots.

ISU Graduation stay in Ames

The hotel is clean and the personnel is very cordial and warm. Especially Lisa from the kitchen ; she goes beyond her duty to give a special service to the guests . Our only dissatisfaction was the night when we arrived with the thermostat of the room , it was broken and the night was chilly. Nevertheless, as soon we informed the situation , we got another room in perfect conditions.

We were just passing through, so didn’t stay long. Service was friendly and everything was in good order. The room was super noisy. We had to unplug the fridge and there was still a lot of noise from heater? Each of us to wait for hot breakfast food.

This antiquated property would benefit from a deep clean and additional staffing. Rust on the handrails for the pool and hot tub, the pool area only had 5 of the 12 lightbulbs lit when we went in the evening, (and the pool had clouds of floating debris that needed vacuuming). At breakfast the powder eggs were overcooked, all bagels, bread and muffins were stale, and they were out of waffle batter and coffee with not attempt to refill either. The bed was comfortable, which was the only redeeming aspect of our overnight stay.
