Perfect for a long holiday weekend. This cabin in the woods was lovely, cozy, clean, and well equipped. Neighboring properties were spaced out nicely. The lane would be difficult to access in the snow with AWD.
Had an excellent stay at this cabin, lots of beautiful scenery that was easy to access, cabin was clean and very comfortable, would absolutely come back.
We had a great week in the cabin on the lake. We didn’t spend a ton of time on the property, but it was great place to come back to every night. Would recommend
We enjoyed our visit!!! We’re already planning our next adventure back! Thank you for a cozy trip. Much needed family vacation, and this property was just the ticket!
Great cabin, perfect for a family with small kids. Property was clean and had everything you need for your stay. Had a nice dock with a boat that we took the kids out on. Hot tub was great and had fire pit stocked with chopped wood! 5 out of 5 stars!
Very beautiful cabin, large windows with nice views, everything in the cabin worked well, large DVD collection, loved the hot tub, and the firewood was a nice touch! Agree that having a truck was helpful as the road to the cabin was pretty steep and bumpy. Highly recommend!
It was a little rough getting up the hill in my car but it was definitely worth the quick scare. This is an amazing property. The house was clean, had all the supplies we needed to cook dinner, the hot tub was clean and it was so much fun swimming in the lake. It was a nice couple of days to unplug and unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Will absolutely stay here again, thank you so much!
The property was cozily located in the woods. We had a short walk down a hill to a pretty lake. The property has its own small deck with a cute, comfortable bench that sits 3. There was also a canoe for our use. Nice, small cabin. It worked well for us.
This property was very nice. It was a little smaller than it seemed in the pictures. The hot tub could of been cleaned prior to our visit it sweemed like the water needed changed.
It was amazing so much to do very clean comfy and homey! We had a blast in the hot tub on the boat and grilling out! Our toddler had a blast and was deff kept busy!!! We loved the privacy communication was never a problem with the owners. I literally have no complaints thanks so much. We also GOT ENGAGED AT THE CAVES/ waterfallls and got to celebrate all weekend it was deff a trip to remember always.
The cabin was perfect for us! We brought our small kayaks had no trouble walking them down the trail to the lake. The Jacuzzi was immaculate and much appreciated after a day of rugged hiking. Being off the grid was pretty wonderful, and having a landline for emergencies made us feel secure. Beautiful scenery to view first thing in the morning and fun to see the deer cross in front of the property. Thank you for such a beautiful space to stay!
Beautiful little cabin in the woods. All amenities were great. Including kitchenware, bath towels/wash cloths, propane grill and hot tub. Yes, the road leading up has some rough terrain but you're in the middle of the woods. Main hiking area in Hocking Hills about 20-30 away. For the most part there's no cell service, so planning ahead is recommended. Couldn't have found a better spot to celebrate our anniversary together!
Even though you're in a neighborhood, with all the trees, you feel remote. The hot tub was a pure delight at the end of each day of hiking. Not having cell or Internet service is pretty standard in the Hocking hills area and honestly is a big appeal to disconnect from real life and connect with who you came there with. You have to be able to handle stairs and ladders, so it wouldn't be suitable for someone with mobility concerns. It has a lot of personality and was exactly what we were looking for.
The private lake, the hot tub, and the secluded location were amazing! Providing a canoe made it all that much better! We were reasonably close to all of the best hikes, which was important to us. The chance to disconnect from cell and wifi was great!
The interior is extremely dated, but the giant window wall made it easier to move past that. The asbestos wall and ceiling tiles had us a bit uncomfortable when we arrived. We were able to set aside our concerns for the stay, but remedying that would be a huge suggestion for the owners.
Overall we had a great time. Cabin was clean. All of the amenities were provided. Coffee and cream was a nice bonus. Hot tub seemed to need a change of water. The grill needs new grates could not cook on them, rusty. Bring foil. Main complaint was the beds. I mean I have slept on some rough beds at hotels etc, theses (all three) we’re very uncomfortable. Ended up sleeping on the couch the second night. Not better lol. If these few things were addressed, I would have given 5 stars. It was a very cute quaint little cabin, was perfect for a short weekend getaway.
The property itself was absolutely amazing. Literally the only downside of the location itself was the matresses made our backs hurt by night 3 of 4 so sleeping that last day was pretty rough. Otherwise absolutely amazing! They had a fun scavenger hunt for our son when we got there he loved looking for all the small things. The view and hotub waa great waking up and right bwfore we went to bed. No service whatsoever at cabin whicb was exactly what we wanted a way away from technology for a while. Hosts were amazing and let us check in a few hours early when we got there earlier than expected. Will for sure be coming back. And i absolutwly recommend a gps to get around area cell phone service not good even for the poor gps so we did a lot of winging it haha. Loved ir rhough absolutely no complaints.
Lets start at the beginning...The road to the cabin is steep and rough. DO NOT drive a low profile car you will bottom out. The cabin itself is cozy...little less then 800 square feet. There is no actual view of the lake but the view is still noce and peaceful. The hot tub is clean. The trail to the lake is steep but well maintained and about 50 yards to a tiny dock with a pretty view. Our only complaint is that the beds are not comfortable.and if you are older the ladder to the loft bedroom sucks. With that said we would still recommend the cabin and still give it an overall high score...oh and cell services are absent in the best way.

Nice Place but A Little Misleading
Beautiful view of nature with an all glass wall window. Clean and well kept, minus a few mice droppings to be expected in the woods. Cool fire pit, nice deck. Really nice place as far as appeal but… lake is down a very steep hill, not right off the deck or even close to it with no lights or rail. Beds are rock hard and you can barely turn around in the shower surrounded by a 360 curtain and a huge step in. Also, you’re not allowed to adjust the hot tub so it sits at 99, which is not very hot. Second night there it didn’t work at all. Plus, it’s at least a 25 minute drive from pretty much everything- trails, restaurants, all of it.
