The Fishin' Hole In Valley Of The Pines Red River

The Fishin' Hole In Valley Of The Pines Red River

10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at The Fishin’ Hole. Beds were comfortable. We had everything that we needed. My grandson began fishing as soon as we arrived. He’s seven and had nibbles and caught many trees. He also collected rocks and tried to catch a chipmunk. We enjoyed watching the chipmunks and the birds. We had a chipmunk visit in the house for a couple of days. Lol! The house was very clean, and the host was easy to contact and answer questions. Highly recommend this site and would stay here again. Thank you! We hated to leave and head home to Oklahoma’s 100 degree temperatures. Bill and Sandra Dixon and familyP.S. I wrote in the house book and forgot to sign our names."

"My wife and I were traveling, we stayed in 11 motels during our trip, Ponderosa was by far the best. We were totally satisfied with the room, the staff, it was just a perfect night. The scenery was awesome, and we thought the price was way more than reasonable, just an awesome place. if you are driving through Red River, I would recommend staying there."

Narrow Gauge Railroad Inn

Narrow Gauge Railroad Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Although the property looks rundown and could use a coat of paint. The rooms were very clean and smelled wonderful! They were large had a refrigerator microwave and plenty of room. The staff was very helpful. It is close to downtown and the railroad. The TV is an old-fashioned one so you can’t plug in your USB port or anything and the blinds were fine but I prefer a darker room. However, an excellent value."

"We enjoyed our stay and the cool temperatures in August. There was only one restaurant open with expensive menu offerings. The choices were more expensive than we needed the night we were there. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean with an updated bath and nice linens. It was a good value for the price and beautiful surroundings."
