Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Alzi?
The best area to stay in Alzi is the village centre itself, particularly for its convenience and access to local life.

The village centre of Alzi is compact and offers a genuine taste of Corsican village life. It's centred around the church and the main square, where you'll find a few local shops and a café. The streets are narrow and winding, typical of a mountain village, and offer lovely views of the surrounding valley.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village centre ideal. It's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding walking trails and enjoying the quiet evenings. You'll be able to experience the local culture and enjoy the slower pace of life, perhaps with a glass of local wine on a terrace overlooking the hills.

For those who appreciate privacy and stunning vistas, staying just outside the main village on one of the hillside properties is a great option.
When is the best time to go to Alzi?
The best time to go to Alzi, Corsica, is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and better value compared to the peak summer months.

May and June are wonderful for exploring the island's natural beauty. The weather is warm and sunny, ideal for hiking in the nearby mountains or enjoying the beaches without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find the wildflowers in full bloom, making for particularly scenic drives and walks.

September and early October are also excellent choices, especially if you're keen on coastal activities. The sea remains warm enough for swimming, and the summer crowds have dispersed, providing a more relaxed experience.
