Altstadt - Sankt Lorenz Hotels, Nuremberg

"The breakfast was good very nice food for it to be included. Staff Could use some hospitality training. The amenities like the gym are very poor compared to what is available today. Place is clean but very dated and beds are basically futons "

"We stayed one night at Hotel Victoria Nürnberg and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel itself is housed in one of the most beautiful historic-looking buildings, and the location truly could not be better. It’s directly across from the train station, which made arriving and departing incredibly convenient, and it’s within walking distance of so much that Nuremberg has to offer. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast each morning was excellent with a nice variety of options. One thing worth mentioning is that the hotel is extremely energy efficient, and that does translate into very compact rooms. Our room was quite small — the shower was tight, there wasn’t much room to open suitcases, and for us it worked well for a one-night stay, but it would have been difficult for a longer stay of several days. The biggest surprise was that while the outside of the building has incredible old-world charm and character, the inside is much more modern and minimalist, catering more toward business travelers than travelers seeking a traditional historic hotel atmosphere. That said, there is an absolutely wonderful small restaurant next door that served the best asparagus with hollandaise sauce I have ever tasted. Honestly, I may come back to Nuremberg just for that meal alone. Overall, the location, staff, breakfast, and beautiful exterior made for a lovely stay."

"We loved Drei Raben hotel. From the first moment Markus welcomed us with open arms and knew our names. He helped with our bags and was a wonderful sightseeing recommender. We changed our plans based on his ideas. Each room has a story. Ours was about the first German train that ran in Nuremberg. Breakfast was great and the evening wine was a treat. We loved this hotel and their staff. "

"The hotel met expectations (clean, quaint, comfortable, great location, good breakfast and restaurant), with the exception of my single room. It was in the built-out attic with a small window, making the room cave-like. The room was not consistent with the photos on Hotels.com. That said, the bed was comfortable and the weather cool, so it was ok for a two night stay."

"The property was a great location within walking distance to several cafes, plazas, restaurants/bierhauses, and sights. The room was clean and comfortable. Of note, the walls of the tub were pretty tall, so I might caution someone with mobility concerns to ask about options with no tub. Staff was friendly enough but very much transactional. Any extra information (like parking validation or adding on breakfasts) was not offered up front, but shared when we asked. Parking directly under the hotel was a little tight, but convenient. It is through the hotel, so can be validated with cash in the garage or charged to your room. Hotel was English-speaker friendly, as was much of the city. We enjoyed Nuremberg and would recommend this property!"
