"Fantastic stay at the Hampshire Hog. 2 x nights 24th &25th April 2024 Staff extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. "All staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was lovely (we had dinner as well as breakfast). Our room was small but comfortable with little touches like bottles of water and chocolates. The inn has real character, be prepared for the sloping floors and watch your head in the bedroom and all doorways. The rooms are named after ships and you can understand why. Would definitely stay again. "

"We liked the "cabin' style room. There was a large dent in the wall, i assume caused by the door handle. "

"As soon as we artived the owner met us and took us ti our topm. Explained the entry procedure. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable and more than acceptable for the price of the accomodation. The only slight doenside we were led to believe there was a bar and food but it is currently being reurbushed."

"It's a very pleasant pub/hotel. Friendly staff. Extremely close to Highclere Castle. The food was excellent. The only negative aspect was the bathroom. The shower cabinet is very small and vert high up, making it very hard in and out safely. Also there are not enough power points in the room. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!"

"What a charming place! Our room was above the pub which had good food and drink. Even better, the pub closes at 11 pm every night so it’s quiet for sleeping.
