"If I could give less than one star, I would. We booked three nights but checked out after just one because the conditions were so bad. The room was extremely hot with no air conditioning, so we had to open the window—only to have insects come in. The bed sheets had holes, the towels smelled awful, and I found something gross under the bed that I’d rather not describe. "The hotel is like staying in a palace. It is utterly charming with big chandeliers everywhere! The reception area is large & open with plenty of easy chairs to sit & steps up to the bar & lounge. Staff on reception & bar are extremely welcoming & helpful & speak English. Our room was large & airy with big windows & double doors out to a small balcony with table & chairs overlooking the garden. The bed was supersize & very comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space, hospitality tray & fridge, desk & 2 armchairs & coffee table. The bathroom was massive with bath/shower & sink/vanity unit. The toilet was in a separate room off the bathroom & also had it's own sink. The room had air conditioning which was great as it was 36 degrees outside! Everywhere in the hotel was immaculately clean. What can I say about breakfast? There was absolutely everything you could possibly want & to suit all tastes. There was a warm good morning greeting for guests by all the staff. Food was delicious, freshly prepared & staff made sure everything was replenished when needed. The breakfast room is massive, with a lovely outside garden area too so no problem getting seated. The hotel is across the road from the beautiful Schonbrunn Palace & gardens & the U4 is 5 mins walk away. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel, it made our stay in Vienna extra special & we would be delighted to stay here again."
