"Such an amazing property the photos don’t even do it justice. The house was impeccably clean. So close to the lake with our own private dock. We enjoyed hiking at Tims Ford State Park, gorgeous trailheads behind the nature center, only a 20 minute drive away. We also kayaked, canoed, and swam in the pool and hot tub. The back porch is huge. We will definitely be back!"

"Our family of grandparents, parents and teenagers had a fun four nights. When it rained we played pool, ping pong and watched TV. The signal was good for our grandchildren to use their devices. When the weather was good we went to the lake and pool. Enjoyed birdwatching from the screened porch. A yellow-throated warbler visited every day!"

This cottage emulates what is so special about Sewanee….a chance to get away from the fast paced world and slow down to enjoy God’s creation, with belived family and friends. It was great for our daughter (Sewanee 2020 alum) to be able to get back on the mountain with college friends and this location made it easy for us to enjoy all of the wedding festivities and “walk home”."

Offers everything you need to enjoy a getaway in the woods. 4 stars because there was trash outside in the yard of the property (which I picked up), confusion with the WiFi due to sending me expired information and then insisting I was wrong, and because I found the cleanliness to be less than ideal. Also, Dachelle and her husband, Jeff, were just such nice human beings and were BEYOND helpful towards me as I was under prepared without a car in that small town. Upon a request, Dachelle had her husband, Jeff, bail me out. He went out of his way to drop me to where I needed to go outside of town! I couldn't be more thankful for these wonderful people!
