House was clean, with nice linens, towels, etc and solid kitchen. Beautiful open living room was great for family time. Location is off the beaten track for the usual Breckenridge ski crowd. Amazing views of the 14k peaks from almost all rooms.
We really enjoyed this house. We cooked all meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was plenty of room and seating for everyone. We saw a moose family and lots of elk. The sunrises, sunsets and stars were amazing! The beds were a bit firm for our liking. Owner and property manager were responsive, accommodating and very friendly. The river by the house was fun for fishing and exploring!
10/10–would stay here again!
The 6 of us (3 couples) visited Fairplay/Alma Near Breckenridge Colorado for Memorial day weekend. We loved how the house had plenty of privacy and Wild life around it. We saw a family of moose everyday and were able to catch a few trout in the creek. The super tall windows in the House give a amazing view of the surrounding wildlife and nature. The 3 bedrooms were prefect in size and the 2 full bathrooms were very convient, the half bath on the 1st floor is covienet touch also. All in all this was a very homey place to stay and Id very much love to come back.
What a beautiful cabin!! There was a view out every window. Very clean and cozy. We felt like it was very secluded with a good sledding hill out back. It was so peaceful. We saw two moose and lots of birds! Beds were comfortable, cabin was warm, clean, and water was hot for showers. The owner and manager were very nice and the check in process was super simple. We went to Breckenridge twice and the drive was gorgeous and quick! Alma had great pizza and it wasn’t far at all to grab some groceries. This cabin was in the perfect location. We will be back!
This was a perfect, refreshing, relaxing get-away. Beautiful views in all directions. The only sounds were from nature (wind whistling in the pines, birds, the babbling creek). The nights were DARK! We rarely saw another person. A mama moose and her baby came right up to the windows! The property was immaculately cleaned and well supplied for a full week stay. We loved it all! One week was too short.
Lovely home with the most beautiful views from every single room! The kitchen had all the essentials we needed for meal prep. The beds were very comfortable with soft linens. Appreciated the large windows in the downstairs area not only for the natural light but to enjoy the golden Aspen's and mountain views throughout the property! We even had an unexpected snowfall one night which made the views all the more magical the following morning! Enjoyed walking the 2 1/2 acres to take in the scenery from outside as well! Very convenient to Breckenridge for the bulk of our groceries (Fairplay has a smaller market) and a day trip to Buena Vista and Leadville. Great base camp for fly fishing with various places to fish on the property as well as Hartsel (25 miles away) and Fairplay (6 miles away). We enjoyed our stay very much!
We stayed here between Christmas and New Year. We enjoyed the house very much. It is well cared for and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation.
We loved this home for our family of four! We saw the moose family every day and enjoyed fishing for trout along the mosquito creek! The town of FairPlay was lovely and the home was also only about 30 minutes from Breck! It was a great spot for us!
Great scenery and close to everything while being remote!
We enjoyed our stay the cabin. Lots of wildlife in the area. We saw several mule deer, moose and a porcupine. There are several chipmunks and ground squirrels that visit in the mornings. We also caught quite a few Trout in the creeks out back. You have to try the cowgirl fries at Otto's.
Spectacular property. Loved gazing at the profile of Mt. Bross throughout the day, and on our first evening a bull moose walked right by the side and front windows. The house itself was a perfect fit for the two preschoolers in the party, and the property manager Cat was an exceptional communicator. We would return here in a heartbeat!
Thank you for sharing you beautiful home with us!
Our family had a great experience and memorable vacation. The house was extremely comfortable including the beds and furnishings. The abundant windows gave us incredible views of the mountains and nature from inside. We loved that we could walk and fish at the creek on the property. Stargazing at night was incredible!
The house in minutes away from Alma and Fariplay and about 30-40 minutes from Breckenridge. We had no problems accessing the house with a non-4-wheel drive car.
We had a excellent 5 day stay. The property was clean and comfortable. The property manager was very helpful with communicating local events as well as great fishing spots. Great location close to great fishing and hiking trails. If your lucky you may get to see some local wildlife from the windows. We had a amazing time and would definitely book again!!!
