Holidays in Allendale North

Very convenient location, accessible to most bars, restaurants and shops in town within walkable distance

It was a hot day but when we arrived in our room the air con was already on so it was nice and cool already. Big comfortable king bed. Windows were able to be opened that also had exterior type electric shutters, was nice to be able to have fresh air in the room unlike most other hotels that do not have opening windows. Disliked the shower, we had the spa suite so the shower head was above the spa bath which dribbled water out even with taps turned full on, water went everywhere because it splashed off of you while standing and there is no shower curtain or screen. After a shower the bathroom floor and surrounds were covered in water. Wish the pool was open later than 6pm, the area itself looked nice but felt the pool was too small to share with other guests so we missed out.

Unfortunately, we visited the Mantra Hindmarsh Square at a bad time, with COVID cases rapidly escalating, I got the feeling the hotel was operating on a much-reduced budget compared to previous years. I purchased a package that stated the room would be serviced daily, but upon check-in I was advised there would be a service on Day 5 only. When the day came around, no one had come by after lunch and I followed up with reception. Although the very friendly desk staff member didn't say anything, it was obvious no service had been scheduled, but she cheerfully organised it for me. The other issue was that the previously excellent in-house restaurant was closed and was only offering a rudimentary ‘breakfast on the run’, which given the number of other restaurants in the Adelaide CBD that were also closed, left few options for breakfast in particular. The final issue was that our two-bedroom apartment had only a very small kitchen area with limited bench space, little crockery and a small fridge. On the plus side, the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, with a special mention to the friendly maintenance staff, one of which readily unlocked the goods lift whenever he was around so we could take our bicycles up and down; and the other very friendly staff member who repaired a running tap in our bathroom. Thanks for a stay that was overall very good, and I look forward to returning when times are better and some of the excellent facilities are hopefully in operation.

Such a great place to stay. Adelaide CBD can be a bit dodgy in parts, but North Adelaide is the place to be. The hotel is new, the rooms are modern and an excellent size and well kitted out. I’d definitely stay again.

A very spacious two bedroom apartment in a great location close to restaurants and everything the city has to offer. The ladies at front desk were friendly and helpful at all times. An excellent option for families.
