"You should go in with realistic expectations. Algoma Beach Motel is an older place. It is a bit worn and shows its age. That said, we loved the place. It has and old beach cottage-y feel and the location can't be beat. We stayed in one of the lake-facing rooms. We watched and listened to the waves. If it had been warmer, we would have walked the boardwalk to the downtown. The lights along the boardwalk are very cool. Parking was easy. The continental breakfast was sparce. We enjoyed our stay. ;-)"
