My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and you could tell there was a lot of of thought put into this cozy space. We hope to stay again in the future!
Thank you guys so much for the incredible stay! We stayed up late watching a movie on the projector and slept in and had coffee on the porch and it really was perfect!
This place had everything we needed. perfectly stocked kitchen, incredible tea selection, and really easy heating and cooling with a BED WARMER! And then the OUTDOOR SHOWER! We could really tell that this place was built with a wonderful experience in mind. Everything felt super private and we really are thankful! Will be back!
We were on a road trip on our motorcycle and messaged the night before check in to see if there was any possibility for us to be able to drop off some of our luggage before the check-in time. The host were quick to respond and happy to accommodate due to an early check out. Every single detail was clearly intentional in its placement and value. The solitude was just what we needed to recharge and unwind. The flowers placed in vases throughout the property and inside were the perfect touch.
Wow, what a special spot! Feels like a luxurious oasis, really out of place in the rolling farmlands of this area. Though only 20 minutes from town, it really feels like you are out in the countryside.
There are no compromises to comfort in this incredible shell shaped dome. The creators have an attention to detail and there are many touches that make you feel pampered and senses satisfied.
The outdoor shower felt like a spa experience, and the seating area with a chiminea was just perfect for savoring the evening.
To be honest, I wish I could live in this spot full time, not just for a night!
Wow, what can I say? Blox and Kristin have clearly put a ton of time and energy into thinking about all of the details for this stunning little gem. The Nautilus Dome invites you to spiral inward for a cozy getaway.
1. A super comfortable bed with mattress warmer to get it toasty before getting in.
2. Big projector to watch a movie all snuggled up on the couch.
3. Lovely selection of teas for whatever your mood.
4. Amazing outdoor shower with hot water, a sense of privacy, and a chance to look out over the beautiful expanse of land you're on.
5. Cozy slippers provided for lounging around the house.
Everything was so fresh and clean, yet warm and earthy to bring you into a grounded and comfortable state. I would definitely go back again whenever I need a reset for my nervous system.
My goal of relaxation was achieved! My wife booked me for two nights at this location so that I could have a solo retreat after 1.5 years into parenting our first child. I was hoping to find a quiet Appalachian mountain get-away where I could enjoy some peaceful fresh air and a comfortable / cozy abode to rest my weary and over-stressed parenting mind and body. I'm glad to be writing a review that testifies that I got exactly what I was hoping for.
Everything about this rental reverberated comfort and peacefulness. The dome structure is well insulated, and everything felt plush and well considered inside. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated that it was a king size and had a mattress top warmer so that I could warm it before getting in ( My visit was during Winter). The kitchen was ideally supplied with everything I needed for making my meals, and I appreciated the coffee and tea options that were included. Plenty of spices for cooking with, which made my life easy as far as packing my own supplies. All of the decor was well planned to have me feeling like I was staying in a peaceful meditation retreat.
The view from this dome is beautiful. Mountains are in the distance and peaceful farm fields in the foreground. I enjoyed sitting on the comfy couch reading my book and looking out the windows at this view. There's also a nice wrap-around style deck with seating as well. As I write this I am remembering all of the nice touches like having a variety of sizes of slippers available to wear around inside, the projector and retractable screen, and lots of little things that made me feel like my comfort was of high priority for the hosts.
The outdoor shower and bath area was a new experience for me. It's a well crafted set up with privacy, which seems like a must if one wants to do an outdoor shower. There is a window in the shower structure that has a glorious view of the mountains, so I can see why someone might get used to that. The bathroom was well heated and very comfortable. Everything seemed really new in the design and construction.
I took a nice walk around the property during the day for some fresh air, and enjoyed how quiet it was. For being about 20 minutes outside of Asheville, I was impressed with the quiet and rural vibe. It was hard to leave my comfy nest after two days, but I was certainly refreshed and (mostly) ready to get back to parent duty.
What a lovely place with so much thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Very comfortable and supplied with everything you will need and more. We had a wonderful time relaxing and connecting in this special place. The bed was very comfortable. (This is something I look for in the reviews I read). The outdoor shower was amazing, good pressure and hot water, overlooking an amazing view. We will definitely be back. The owners were wonderful and communicated throughout our stay. Thank you.
