10/10 Excellent
"I wanted a weekend getaway not too long of a drive from home. This place did not disappoint! The location off of the Mississippi River with view over the water was lovely! There was a full wall of windows facing west over the water. Great for watching the sunsets! The great white pelicans were migrating and we were able to watch them from the cabin. The house was in a very lovely quiet setting. It was very clean, the kitchen was fully equipped, and there was a full array of games to choose from. It was fun to look at all of the vintage decor that they had adorned the house with. We enjoyed relaxing in the very comfortable couch and recliner watching their Roku TV after a day out on the water in the kayaks provided. We appreciated having life vests available. The little bay the house is situated on was just the right size for exploring by kayak. We explored the waters, watched the water birds and got out and explored the sandy banks, coming home with many pretty little rocks.I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for sharing this little gem with us.Also, I somehow missed the place during the booking process where I would have said I wanted to bring a small dog. I messaged Lisa after having already completed the booking. She was very prompt in responding and was so helpful in helping work out to bring him along. She made the whole process from beginning to end so smooth and easy. She was a great host!"

"Lighting is not very bright in the house and very hard to see the steps outside in the dark."
