About this property

Marsh Lodge, Aldeburgh

Located on the outskirts of Aldeburgh, Marsh Lodge is a stylish coastal retreat comprising two connected apartments, each with their own private kitchen, sitting and dining area, and bedroom with a super-king bed and en-suite. Both enjoy views across the marshes and the River Alde. With space for one dog, it's perfect for two couples, individuals, or families, offering privacy when you need it and togetherness when you want it, making it a peaceful and restorative escape.

Both apartments have well-equipped kitchens, sitting and dining areas, and bedrooms with a 6' super-king bed and en-suites. The spaces flow effortlessly, perfect for sharing meals, relaxing together, or enjoying quiet moments apart. Both apartments feature an electric log-effect stove, creating a cosy atmosphere for curling up with a book or unwinding after a day exploring the coast.

Outside, Marsh Lodge offers a thoughtfully designed front garden with seating and new planting, creating secluded corners for morning coffee or alfresco dining. The surrounding area invites leisurely walks through the marshes and along the river, while Aldeburgh's cafés, independent shops, and coastal paths are just a short stroll away. Fantastic couples retreat.

Marsh Lodge is the perfect place to stay to explore the Suffolk coastline. The Lodge is really well equipped and has everything you need to make it a home from home. The sunsets over the marsh land/river are fantastic! We traveled with my husbands family and Philip, our dog so having the two self contained apartments was absolutely ideal and felt really private. It is ever so slightly out of town so for those who want to visit the pubs in Aldeburgh be sure to source a taxi before hand as they are pretty sparse and Uber is not an option. Over all fabulous place to stay, exceptional clean - especially considering dogs are allowed downstairs and I would most definitely recommended a visit.

Beautiful stay near Aldeburgh

It’s great to stay in a holiday rental where the environment has been cared for. Clean, well decorated, nice linen and of course the river views.

Excellent location with clean , well equipped accommodation

A wonderful location with easy access to lovely walks on the marshland. Comfortable and well equipped with good facilities, like the Friday Street farm shop nearby.

Marsh Lodge

It was rather a long walk into town, more than was implied which meant we had to get the car out to go anywhere.

Excellent place to stay.

This was our second stay at Marsh Lodge (River View last time on our own - this time we were in Marsh View and our friends were in River View). It is an excellent place to stay, both in terms of position and comfort.
