Amazing place - feel history in great comfort
This place was amazing. Just next to the Alcobaça Monastery, location was perfect. It is a fairly old building, in pristine condition where you can feel history but in a very comfortable setting. Huge rooms. Staff was extremely pleasant and useful for dining recommendations and activities.

We had a fantastic stay. The property has lovely grounds including a manicured garden with fruit trees, a pool, seating providing a view of Alcobaca. The staff were very welcoming and provided a great breakfast and bar service. Highly recommend

Very attractive historical estate within pretty gardens. Convenient location to town center and monastery. Nice breakfast and secured premises. Does not have elevator access to upper levels. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely hotel with a warm welcome
I can't say enough great things about the staff at the hotel. All the staff were more than welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance from the monastery. It has been lovingly restored and feels more like a manor home (which is used to be in the past) than a hotel. Our room was beyond our expectations; very spacious, elegantly decorated with a very large and comfortable bed with high quality linens. The room was immaculately clean with a pretty view garden view. The bathroom was very spacious as well and included a shower and bathtub. There are also lovely common and gardens areas to enjoy outside of the room. Breakfast was generous and fresh. We wish we had more than 2 nights stay. We had to leave very early on our last day so would have missed the designated hours for breakfast. When we notified the hotel of our early departure, they insisted to serve us breakfast early which was very kind and much appreciated. The owner and staff at this hotel really understand the concept of warm hospitality and we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. The hotel is also centrally located, offers convenient parking but also is in walking distance to local amenities.

Lovely old buildings and next to the monastery
Amazing! Could stay here for a month. So quiet and relaxing. Excellent service, lovely grounds including a pool. Right next to the monastery. Excellent private parking lot. Breakfast buffet was included for us. Large spacious room with a sauna!

Excellent service and very helpful staff.
The staff is very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The monastery is right next to the hotel. I would say the hotel property itself is an attraction. The breakfast is good.

Wer einen ruhigen Ort sucht und das Kloster neben an Besuchen will ist hier Bestens aufgehoben. Sehr guter Service und ein toller Ort zum Entspannen mitten in der Stadt und direkt neben dem Mosteiro.

Goede ligging om centraal Portugal te bezoeken
We waren aangenaam verrast van het gebouw met mooie tuin en ruime parking. Ook de kamers waren ruim en steeds netjes! De ligging is super t.o.v. van het centrum met prachtig klooster en talrijke leuke eet- en drinkgelegenheden maar ook om centraal Portugal te bezoeken.

Perfeita localizaçao
Estivemos no Solar agora no Carnaval ...eu , meu marido e três filhas . Achamos perfeita a localizaçao de Alcobaça , pois vimos que da para se hospedar com a familia toda e ficar indo a outras cidades e voltando para dormir no Solar tranquilamente , uma vez que eles tem suites com tres quartos , sala , dois banheiros e cozinha , tudo muito confortavel e agradavel ... a cidade tem otimas opcoes de comida da regiao ! Adoramos !! sem falar no Mosteiro .... maravilhoso !!!! ah , e ainda pegamos um Carnaval pra lá de animado !!!

Prächtiges Hotel grad neben Kloster
Sehr nette Hotelleitung, die Zimmer sind riesig und wunderschön, die Anlage beeindruckend, die Aussicht aufs Kloster super. Frühstück war sehr gut.

Agreable séjour !
Chambre très spacieuse et jolie mais les salles de bains devraient être remise aux goûts du jour car vraiment vieillottes. Le petit déjeuner est basique, plus de beurre dès 9h c'est dommage ! Sinon le parc, la piscine et la batisse sont tres agréable ainsi que le personnel.

Il Solar da Cerca do Mosteiro,situato lateralmente al grandioso Monastero di Alcobaca, è un bell’hotel ricavato dalla sapiente ristrutturazione di una fattoria. Non ha ristorante, ma un grande bar che affaccia sulla corte dove è localizzata anche la reception. Ho soggiornato due notti in quest’albergo dagli ampi spazi, veramente confortevole e rilassante, e devo dire che, tolta qualche smagliatura - da quella che rimanda all’obbligo, ogni volta che si entra e si esce, a piedi come in auto, di suonare e farsi aprire dal/dalla receptionist, al wi-fi non sempre ben funzionante -, il giudizio è largamente positivo. Dalla pulizia alla colazione - forse un poco sbilanciata verso il dolce -, l’albergo offre solide certezze. Promosso.

Etablissement remarquable en tous points
Que dire d'autre que tout s'est remarquablement passé ? L'établissement est luxueusement restauré et très confortable, les petits déjeuners sont très diversifiés. Le service, multilingue dont français, est très attentionné tout en étant discret. Situé dans un parc au calme et à 200 m du Monastère d'Alcobaça, c'est vraiment le lieu de séjour idéal pour parcourir une région riche en patrimoine. Cerise sur le gâteau, Lisbonne n'est qu'à une heure d'autoroute.

Hôtel ou règne l'excellence! Séjour trop court- Personnel adorable ! L'hôtel peut servir idéalement de "base" pour visiter la région. Accueil très chaleureux - familial - Très bon petit déjeuné. Nous y reviendrons avec un grand plaisir.
