Great hotel, staff were nice but felt unbothered. Very clean, food was okay but plentiful. We arrived late and could get anything to eat until the chef came in and was told to ring back later. Reception was phoning the room next door to use for 2 hours straight we called them at 11pm and they then stopped
Buffet breakfast was excellent, serving everything you would want. We didn’t have half board and used the Primadonna Italian restaurant and Cocos Portuguese restaurant over the 5 nights we stayed. Both were excellent.
Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. After midday, the young lads from the bar were very friendly and helpful serving the poolside.
Beach was 200m 5 minutes to walk along the wooden boardwalk.
Our stay was good, the pool area and hotel amenities were excellent. The only thing to improve on is that some items on the menus, particularly at Primadonna (Italian restaurant), were not accurate with the ingredients. The Arancini balls for example, were described only as rice balls with cheese and a tomato sauce, but actually also contained meat, which should be made very clear on the menu.
Lovely clean room, great room facilities- great shower! Bed so comfortable and pillows to sink into! Staff very courteous, very helpful, and polite. At breakfast there’s everything you might wish for. Views from room were filled with palm tree tops and pools. Hotel is no more than 400m from a great sandy beach accessed by boardwalk over great sand dune flora!
Staff were friendly and did their job well. First time to Algarve did not know it is essentially a beach vacation. The on site restaurants are very good. You can get a Bolt ride to local restates are not far. Their property is very clean and close to the ocean. You can get pick up for some activities others, you need to find a ride. You have to travel pretty far to see things, Bolt rides are cheap and good service, prompt pick up.If you do not have wifi or an internet connection it is hard, locals will not help much.
We had a fantastic stay at Vida Mar. The property was beautiful, staff were friendly and accommodating and the proximity was great for us for all the places we wanted to visit.
It was early in the season. Some facilies were not ready due to improvements being implemented. Buffet dining was a little disappointing. While there was a good variety, the food was often cold for some reason. Spa was average but a little pricey. Overall a very good experience and value for money.
Amazing property, well maintained and felt very safe. Location is just okay, unless you’re planning on staying on the resort only. I would recommend renting a car if you’re a tourist to go out for dinners and amenities as they are approximately 15 minute drive away

Great location! Outstanding Portugal hospitality and customer service!
Absolutely spotlessly clean hotel and rooms. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to help with everything. It was my son’s birthday and they went out of their way to make him feel welcome and special. They put a birthday cake and complimentary bottle of champagne and wine in his room. I can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay everything we could have asked for.
We have stayed at the Vidamar on many occasions and it never fails to impress. Always spotlessly clean and the choice of food available at both breakfast and dinner are excellent. We will definitely be back!!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
In general, we had a great time at Vidamar. Hotel staff were great and helpful, bedroom was big, and they provided a baby bed and baby bath. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the Italian restaurant (amazing). My only negative comment is regarding the quality of the shampoo/soap and the lack of body cream.
Lovely hotel in a great location.
The room was very spacious and cold!
The staff on the reception left us with mixed feelings. We have met some fantastic professional staff ....and some cocky young lads that had smart comments to everything.
The breakfast was fantastic however the coffee was below average and the pods for the coffee machine in the room were not filled up once over our one week stay.
Overall a very pleasant stay.
The property was very well maintained, with a great position walking distance from a beautiful beach. The hotel never felt crowded, so the facilities were easy to use. Great indoor and outdoor pools. Lots of variety at breakfast and dinner and the quality was better than i expected. Special mention to Mo in the restaurant, superb customer service, the man really knows his stuff. Great spot for a spring break.
