"We had a wonderful stay! The setting of the property, amongst those green Basque Country hills, is gorgeous and the building itself has an air of old world charm. The owner and his son were very welcoming and accommodating, we loved interacting with them. We stayed in one of the studios on the second floor, breakfast on the balcony was perfect. "A really high standard property with all the home comforts. It was a heatwave when we stayed 34C plus and despite no AC it didn’t need it as the walls are 2 feet thick. The host went out of her way to provide anything we needed and answered our questions immediately. She even provided an electric fan and a welcome pack of necessities lime milk, cereal, bread and even cake! Estibaliz was charming, accomodating and even didn't mind me practicing my Basque and Spanish. Thank you!! "

"great place to stay and good location "

"Apartment style hotel. Good sized, comfortable rooms. We did not cook but the unit had a cook top and seemed to have all the cooking supplies you'd need. If you are facing the main street it can be a bit noisy due to the traffic and nearby cafes but it's only an issue if the windows are open. There's a laundry facility that you pay via and app that was much appreciated and the machines worked well. The hotel has onsite parking with a typically tight Spanish parking garage. There is a public lot literally next door so I would compare prices before deciding where to go. There are quite a few cafe, restaurants, and some takeaways nearby but it's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the heart of the old city, which is very nice and has all kinds of dining options. The tram also runs with a few blocks of the hotel if you need to go farther afield. We would stay here again."

"Spotless clean, bar and food available as well as petrol station with shop. Place to exercise dogs and big car park. Close to main highway and staff all helpful and friendly. Excellent customer service approach with emails prior to visit asking if they can help you in any way and a welcome message in my room written on bathroom mirror. Real value for money experience and if I could give feedback on 2 things I would improve. Put a toilet brush in bathroom as we may need to attend to marks in the toilet before maid cleans room. It stops embarrassment and better for your staff. The bed mattress was not comfy for me as I have an aging skeleton and after a week of aching was glad to return to my own bed. I appreciate everyone has a preference about beds but it was adequate. Very impressed with the staff training and the whole experience so well done management for putting customers first, it was appreciated"

"Very helpful staff with a lovely clean lobby. The attendant at the desk s as poke multiple languages. She was very helpful in telling us about the city and good places to visit and eat. The rooms were spacious and the shower good. It was quiet. I would only all that the hotel allow customers to darken the LED light on the thermostat because it was so bright at night that we woke up from the glow. There is a mini fridge if that is something you need! Great breakfast! "
