"The property was as advertised. Very convenient for walking to the main shopping area and restaurants, Hof concert hall, and the port. It's a small studio apartment in a large building. I had a little trouble figuring out the doors and keys on the ground floor where the elevator and the key lockbox are located, but that's on me. I just had to work at it. Having the "back" door to come and go right below the church was very convenient. The apartment was clean and the little kitchen well-stocked with pots and utensils if you wanted to cook. I was just glad to have a microwave and small refrigerator so I could prepare coffee, breakfast, and easy meals. The bed was very comfortable. I had my coffee on the small deck the first morning, but after that it was either raining or windy, but it was a nice feature in good weather. I had just a couple small issues that I messaged the owner/host about, and I got no reply. I hope if a guest had a bigger issue or question, they would hear back promptly."

"The property is located in the downtown area. Close walk to all the external restaurants and shopping. The beds were way too soft. It felt like you were sleeping on a bag of marshmallows. The pillows were so thin you had to fold it in half to make it work. And if you wanted another one it was 500 Islandic Kronos extra per pillow. The scrambled eggs and beans at breakfast buffet were cold."

"This hotel is definitely off the beaten path but the property appears to be quite new and has a refreshing look. Plenty of parking spots (including two EV chargers), lovely dog and cat. Clean room with functional TV and lots of space to put stuff on chair or on a rack. Bed is a bit small considering that it's a singles room. Room temperature leans towards the warm/hot side. Bathroom floor can take some time to dry up but there's enough space. Breakfast are always the same dishes, but they were cooked well. I especially like the coffee machine. It's available to guests for free 24/7, even if you want some chocolate at 11pm. Staff were plentiful during breakfast period, but it can be hard to find receptionist for check-in or check-out. It's well worth the price."

"We were there for two nights, and the first night was OK. Noisy location, with people yelling on the street right in front of the hotel until 1:00, during our second night at the hotel. Then heavy machinery started operating on the street at 6:30, during one hour. Earplugs made no difference. The same night around 22:00, there was a fire alarm, that made us go downstairs to evacuate the building. On the first floor at the bar and restaurant also serving as the hotel reception, life continued as normal. One employee was busy consulting the alarm control panel, trying to understand the reason for the alarm and to make it stop. The other employees didn’t seem to be concerned about the alarm, keeping serving drinks and meals as usual. Several hotel guests like us just stood up near the front entrance, waiting for some instructions of some sort, that never came. We even saw a group of 8 tourists or so going to the upper floors with their backpacks, as if everything was normal. Many hotel clients didn’t evacuate the building at all. When the alarm finally stopped, I inquired from the same busy employee who confirmed that it was a false alarm. No employee ever went to the floors and rooms to explain the situation to the clients. I saw the same employee coming from the evacuation stairs at the back on the third floor, perhaps to check if someone was still there. Good luck to anyone staying at this hotel, if there is a real fire alarm someday."
