The hotel is conveniently located. Some bathroom renovations would be nice. I think it is more at the level of a Mercure from the same Accor family. I was expecting Novotel to be slightly better.

I did’t appreciate that the housekeeper entered into my room even though I put the sign do not disturb me. I went to complain to the receptionist and she kind of didn’t care.

Perfect for our family and our stay in Aix-en-Provence. Nice restaurant for dinner and good breakfast before we left. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Our room had a power outage from 9 p.m. and said it would soon recover, but it didn't recover until the next morning. The information desk only said that we should wait. The location of the hotel is bad and I will never go again.

Mixed impression
Common areas were fine, excellent. Reception, bar, restaurant area all nice and modern. Pool and garden looked fine, although we did not use. On the other hand, the rooms were . . . . less than expected. Carpeting in hallway old and needs change, same for the rooms. Sleeping quarters need rennovation and not worthy of 4 stars ! Area fine, easy access highway and getting into the city.

Good clean hotel with a very good breakfast
Breakfast had a lot of variety and good quality. Rooms are a little small, but clean and good for one night. Not walking distance to town, but just a short 5 minute drive.

Staff were good and the restaurant service and food was first class but the building is tired and all carpets in many n areas and rooms are dirty. Location was outside of the main tourist area and required driving to access the sights.

The Novotel is in terms of Aix en Provence well priced. It is not close to anything, and most suited for business travellers. However, the rooms are quite tired.

Reasonable hotel at a good price.
Close to the motorway and 2 miles from the centre of Aix, don't be put off by the exterior of the building which looks a bit dated. The rooms are large and clean. The public areas of the hotel are very pleasant. The breakfasts are amongst the best we've had. The grounds being surrounded by trees gives a more rural feel than you might expect with virtually no noise impact from the nearby motorway. The pool is bigger than the average. we had a great stay of two nights.

Awesome breakfast buffet

A comfortable night.
Although the hotel looked uninspiring we were pleasantly surprised by the well thought out interior and the friendly and helpful staff. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a dip in the pool before departing. We only stayed one night but would happily do so again.

Ideal for stopover but would come back for longer
We needed an overnight hotel near Aix and it was ideal for this purpose. Would definitely return. We were driving; I'm not sure it would be a good fit by public transit.

Older breed of Novotel some distance from centre
Hotel difficult to find when driving. Located south of city centre beside autoroute, but quiet location. Plenty of outside free parking, but being a congress hotel all the clock parking spaces taken by delegates. I had to park some distance from entrance. Staff friendly. Dinners on the expensive side brith rather small portions! Room was okay but in the older Novotel style and perhaps due for modernisation. One needs a car to stay here. One must drive into Aix centre where parking is at a premium and very expensive. Don't think about getting a taxi!

Great hotel for families and relaxation
The hotel is slightly out of the way from Aix, but benefits from being quieter and having more space, including the bonus of the swimming pool.

Hotel is in big compound with mature trees. Parking is free. Breakfast is buffet style. Outside swimming pool and comic book corner keep children entertained. We had dinner at hotel , not so bad. Reasonable price too. Lift is very small. Can only carry 2 people with suitcases.

The is the perfect family getaway stop!
The perfect family getaway resort hotel with beautiful park like gardens, patio, outdoor pool and restaurant. We loved our afternoon overnight stay here passing through to Lyon and Paris. Just off the highway and minutes to the town of Aix.

The room facilities were not up to standard. Plastic cups, no bottle opener or cork screws and when we asked for a bottle opener we were told the hotel only had one and it had to stay in the bar The food was mediocre, the steak was tough and inedible

Convenient hotel from airport and to locations of
Lots of historical and picturesque places to visit. Wouldn`t have been able to do so without a car, however. Bus service every 30 mins into the town, but last bus quite early. Good value only 1 euro. Taxi service at night 10 euros. No bus service at all Sundays.
