"This historic hotel was a good option for our Normandy beaches trip. The room was not as advertised (much smaller than the photo), but fairly well appointed. The fan provided for air conditioning did not function, and the plugs in the room did not work after the first night. The staff was agreeable, but badly overworked, making them slow to assist because of so many duties. The breakfast buffet was open until 10:00 am, but was not refreshed after 8:30. "Amazing place! So glad we chose to stay here away from the towns. We were still really close to Caen, Bayeux, and the WWII sites and even Mont St Michel! since we rented a car. They also upgraded our room to the deluxe! It was very spacious with amazing views from both windows. Highly recommend everyone to consider this hotel during their stay in Normandy. Oh and they also have like 5 kitties that stay at the place that are very friendly! Definitely a bonus for this cat lover 😅"
