"I’ll start of by saying the house is so unique and beautiful and is a perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. Having an open living space was great with a perfect view of Arenal. The property is located within walking distance of all the restaurants, sodas and grocery stores you need and a short drive to all the activities and adventures around Arenal. We were 2 families of 4 and the kids spent all their time in the pool when not out and we never felt on top of each other. Highly recommend this...

"A great place to relax and enjoy the mountains. Plenty of room to spread out with hammocks out back. Had a BBQ for the family at the pool house and the 3-year-olds really liked the small pool with the fountain. Will stay again on next trip."

"We were immersed into the neighborhood or the local La fortuna residences and close to the town and tour activities. We stayed with our 2 daughters, 10 and 12, while there is no AC, it cools off enough in the evening to be perfectly comfortable. There is a small market near by for basics. The yard is beautifully kept and Zuelema is very communicative when gardeners came to work. There is a river near by that we got to meet some of the locals and play in the water away from the tourist areas....

"Our stay was far too short but very memorable. Enveloped in nature, this home exudes peace and contentment. Carl, the owner, welcomed us upon our arrival. He was a constant fixture, regaling us with the stories of his amazing life and the restoration of the land surrounding his property. We opted for dinner one of the evenings; breakfasts were included. Both were plentiful and delicious! The tilapia was fresh caught and exquisite! "Fantastic location in downtown La Fortuna. Great for walking to supermarkets, the park, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants in La Fortuna. The pool and patio make for a perfect place to relax after hiking and adventuring around Arenal. Highly recommend!"

"Great value with nice ousde shared kitchen and pool. Nice clean well maintained room. Friendly helpful staff. I like getting to know other travelers with the shared kitchen. Only downside it is on a main road with lots of noisy traffic. Bring earplugs."
