LP Express Hotel Tarma

LP Express Hotel Tarma

8/10 Good
"Typically staff sweeps the floors but does not wipe them so while there isn’t any dirt on the floor you can see all the spots (sticky coffee (?) stains etc.). Nice hot showers that didn’t run out of hot water , no street noise since it is set back behind the more expensive LP Portales Hotel . Coffee was 8 soles refills included , great breakfast bar but at 35 soles not attractive . Only a five min. walk the bus terminal ."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Acobamba?
The best area to stay in Acobamba is generally within the town centre, particularly around the Plaza de Armas.

This central area is the heart of Acobamba, making it convenient for exploring the town on foot. You'll find the main church, local shops, and eateries concentrated around the Plaza de Armas, which is a pleasant spot for an evening stroll. The streets immediately surrounding the plaza offer the most accessible accommodation options.

For travellers looking for convenience and a central base to experience local life, staying near the Plaza de Armas is ideal.
When is the best time to go to Acobamba?
The best time to go to Acobamba is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, you'll experience clearer skies and more sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and archaeological sites. The temperatures are generally mild and pleasant, superb for hiking and outdoor activities. This period avoids the heavier rainfall of the wet season, which can sometimes make unpaved roads more challenging to navigate.

Couples looking for an active holiday will find this period superb for exploring the surrounding mountains and valleys. The drier weather ensures better conditions for visiting the archaeological sites and enjoying the scenic landscapes without the disruption of frequent rain.

For travellers planning to visit during Acobamba's annual festivals, which often take place in June and August, the dry season is the best time.
