Great for an overnight stay.

I was traveling to the U.S. and had to overnight in Accra. Novotel was clean, staff friendly, and the food tasty (although the room service a bit slow).

In need of upgrade - staff very pleasant

This hotel needs a general upgrade. On arrrival the TV, wifi and safe did not work properly. By the time I left the TV had been repaired and the wifi was a little better than before. Novotel must understand that a good wifi connection is essential for business travellers. We don't necessarily enjoy meeting each other in the bar and loby area because our wifi connection keeps fading in and out in our rooms. On the plus side the staff were very pleasant. The only downside was refusing a late check out because the "hotel was full" - ordinarily I would accept this, but as they did not clean my room before 2 - 3 pm each day I could not see how it mattered. The food was reasonably priced and the breakfast better than expected.

The airport transfer service was good and also the buffet breakfast. The air conditioning unit in my room was very loud and the room felt a little bit damp.

Nice hotel at the City Centre

Stayed at Novotel for business visit. Staff very friendly. Room a bit stuffy but very clean. Food variety was super! Close to all facilities

Nice hotel in the city centre

I spent 5 nights at Novotel and loved it.The only thing I had a problem with was the staff.They were not very hospitably, they never used to greet.The staff were highly unfriendly but food was good and room was very clean.

Safe Bet Accra

Service levels have improved in the restaurant. The pool/bar area always a nice place to relax and reply to emails. Internet works better as well. Found out that they will refurbish the hotel soon. Only gripe is that you have to grab a taxi to go anywhere interesting and the taxi's based at the hotel rip you off.

très délabré pour le prix/ crappy place!

Comme les quelques autres grands hôtels de Accra, celui-ci est cher. En plus d'être cher, le Novotel est aussi une demi-ruine. Tout y est vieux, usés et mal-entretenus. Le style est démodé (a-t-il jamais été beau?), très bon-marché et racommodé de partout (quand les choses ont été racommodées). Ce n'est pas vraiment ce qu'on attend pour plus de 200€/la nuit. Le meilleur de cet lieu est sans doute la machine Nespresso au petit déjeuner.

Had a really enjoyable 2 night stay here for a work trip. Friendly staff and even bought 2 of the paintings hanging in the lobby!

Qualité Novotel !

Le niveau de confort habituel, petit-déjeuner à la hauteur du standard Novotel. Belle piscine, qui ne semble pas immense mais qui est finalement assez spacieuse. Une bouteille d'eau minérale est offerte dans la chambre chaque jour. Seul bémols : la salle de bain, tuyau de la douchette qui fuyait et support douchette cassée. l'agent d'entretien qui est venu voir le problème a dit "faut mettre la main comme ça" :) Tout le personnel est bien sympathique au demeurant !

Airport pick up service

Kwasi Ofori Addo had alredy inform the hotel to pick up at the airport however they did not picked up him. Hotel room service was not good. Some stuff are good but most of stuff did not wark hard. Need more improve improve their total service.

We really enjoyed our time here...

We have just returned from a stay in Accra where we spent 6 nights at the Novotel. Although we hadn't previously stayed here members of our family had 5 years ago. We decided to give it a go and were very pleasantly surprised with what we found! We were given a room on the 4th floor in a modern room, refurbished since we last visited along with other areas of the hotel. The room is an average Novotel room, it was comfortable and modern, no frills but a decent room. The hotel was very clean, the pool was crystal clear, far cleaner than other hotels we also visited. The staff were friendly, although I think our 2 year old daughter helped on this front! We initially booked 4 nights, but extended our stay as we felt very comfortable and safe at this hotel. The food was ok, I would recommend the pizza! We will definitely return to this hotel, it had a nice feel to it and slightly cheaper than other nearby hotels.

The room was rather dark, couldn't read properly!

Stay was relatively okay. However, there was no reading lamp in the room which is very inconvenient. The room didn't smell sufficiently fresh. The airco seems to blow in old air. There was no plug socket in the bathroom or near a mirror so that I couldn't style my hair properly.

Friendly and helpful staff

After having travelled through 3 other countries on business without any issues with my hotel bookings, I was shocked to arrive at Novotel Accra to be told that they could not find my booking. In any case, they offered me a room for the night on the proviso that I contact Expedia to sort the issue out. I felt it was very nice of them to offer that, without me having to pay first, as I was quite exhausted by the time I arrived at the hotel. The issues were sorted out the following day, but it was very nice of Novotel to allow me stay without having to pay extra that first night. Furthermore, the staff who attended to me that first night was very helpful, and throughout the rest of my stay, the staff were friendly.

The Hotel is very tired . The facilities are scruffy . Business centre almost non existent. The breakfasts are below average .Internet facilities are poor and intermittent.

Centrally located hotel with accessible transport.

The hotel offered very good value for money with very polite staff and relaxed atmosphere. The food was adequate with ample choice. Room service was very prompt and reliable. We found it difficult understanding the telephone bet the staff assisted. Only complaint was the lack of tourist information available for first time visitors and the staff had to direct us to ask the taxi drivers for directions and venues. However we had a regular driver who was very knowledgable and trusted with very good suggestions and was quite protective.
