The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. The food selection and quality at breakfast and dinner was first class, as was the service in the executive lounge. We received a free room upgrade overlooking the pool and the Grand Mosque, which was a real added bonus.

This was my first trip to Abu Dhabi and it was fabulous. My suite was beautiful. Great view of the pool and beach area. It was quiet and the staff was very accommodating. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful. I took a few tours and people on the tour bus were impressed by the beauty of the property. The Chi Spa was a splendid experience. I tried the room service and dined at the bar and grill, the food was very tasty.

The Shangri la lived up to its standards… we stayed with our three and one year old for 7 nights and were made to feel at home, the staff were excellent, they were so friendly and helpful, we stayed in an executive suite which was very spacious and had a typical Shangri la decor which we love, the lobby area is always stand out, a bonus was we had the horizon club lounge access which offers certain drinks and nibbles at dedicated times which was a nice, the infinity pool was great with a lovely view of the grand central mosque, the private beach was nice a clean, the restaurants on site were very good with the buffet offering theme nights as well as a Michelin star Chinese restaurant, the location is good with nothing being out of reach of 20 minutes, there is a souk next door which caters to shopping needs, they offer a abra (boat) ride around the hotel which is relaxing… they also offer water sports on the beach and the concierge is very helpful, we had a fantastic stay to say the least

Perfect family stay

Excellent stay. Fantastic, friendly staff who can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Perhaps missing a trick to offer you drinks whilst at subbed by the pool/beach We particularly enjoyed the variety of the restaurants, and even the food in the buffet changed daily and was excellent.
