"Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances a Donnini. Nous avons eu quelques soucis avec la clim mais les propriétaires ont fait de leurs mieux pour les résoudre. Maison et équipement excellent et la piscine a bien servi sous la chaleur."

A Panoramic Tuscan Luxury - Villa Maria in Fronzano

"The villa and property was spectacular and immaculate. We were warmly greeted by our host upon arrival and given a comprehensive introduction of the property and necessary information. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the bedding was very comfortable. All of the bathrooms had new fixtures , hand painted walls and it felt like a personal spa on each floor. The pool was immaculately maintained by our host. Every need was anticipated-from pool floats to a pool house with a fridge and separate bathroom / shower. The flowering plants and trees around the villa were absolutely beautiful and fragrant. We felt pampered as if we were at a five star resort. Our hosts olive oil was delicious and we would highly recommend hiring the personal chef ( Donato) to cook a meal or two. The meals we had were exceptional. Our host was friendly , responsive , attentive and respectful of our time and privacy. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Maria and hope to return with my family in the future."

"We arrived at Villa Di Grassina in mid May. The weather was rainy and cool. We stopped at reception in time to see a crowd of happy people leaving from a weekend wedding held there. We asked where they were from and they told us Guam. We couldn’t believe they came from half way across the globe to hold a wedding there. We were greeted inside by a lovely lady, a Brit who has worked there for over 30 years. We were helped to our room and personally given a tour. The room was old, as we expected, and very charming. The smell was reminiscent of my Grandmother’s house when I was a child. The wood on the stairs leading to the second floor bedroom even creaked in the same way. The night was silent and perfect for sleeping. We were once again greeted at reception the next morning with big smiles, hot cappuccino and sweets given to us by the two wonderful ladies that work at the office. The day was spent exploring the beautiful grounds, looking at the amazing Tuscan views and visiting the nearby town of Pelago. To summarize our visit, I would say the Villa Di Grassina is a must see if making a trip to Tuscany or as a final destination from anywhere. I would give it five stars and we hope to visit again."

"A spectacular rural setting that is quintessentially Tuscan. A great base to explore this very very varied corner of Tuscany. A car is essential, as is the ability to be happy with the presence of other guests as this a shared property with three other apartments adjoining. The two pools are above ground, and are also shared. Silvia is a very good and responsive host, and it was nice to have a welcome bottle of local whine and olive oil as welcome gifts."
