“Great choice for layovers at Gatwick”
Overnighted on my way to and from Europe via Gatwick. Airport pickup was on time and very convenient. Staff were very professional and helpful. Rooms were clean and well equipped. I found restaurant prices a bit on the expensive side and unless you are there long enough to venture out to restaurants in the nearby city centre, you can spend a tidy sum on meals. There is a nice shop just off the lobby if you need to pick up soft drinks, personal items, newspapers etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there another time.
“Outstanding value near preferred London Airport”
We spent our last night at the Arora Gatwick on our recent vacation. This hotel is quality and decorated with taste and great design; an outstanding value for its location. And by the way, Gatwick is just so much more stress free than the larger London Airport which is a complete traffic nightmare compared to this one. I could actually see staying here for several days and commuting into London and other special nearby sites. Only drawback here is that there is no elevator to the underground parking garage. Highly recommend. Jim U. --- USA
“Good practical hotel not far from shops - a little difficult to find.”
I had a difficult time finding the hotel because it is in a small street - had to ask a taxi driver in the end. Most locals do not know it. The hotel has excellent dark curtains which helps if you have jet lag. It is clean and practical, not luxurious but it works well. Reception staff extremely helpful.
“Gatwick hotel.”
Booked this hotel stateside before our Xmas family visit to the UK. It lessened the stress of the return journey by giving us a cosy layover just 15mins from Gatwick Most of all it avoided the early morning pre-flight travel on the UK motorways. The hotel is smart, staff courteous and rooms are well equipped much to US 4* standards. An hourly shuttle runs to Gatwick which can be booked. Cost 2.50 GBP per person and worthwhile. Hotel has restaurants but a short walk away in Crawley are less costly pubs with standard fare and good deals. Railway station is outside the hotel and we easily managed a trip down to Brighton. Likewise London City could be visited if so wished. All in all a good deal.
“Excellent Hotel.....not too bad for honeymooners!! Wines are great!!”
Definetly one of my favourite Hotels....only complaint I have is that when we arrived and informed the persons at the desk we were on our honeymoon, we were promised a free upgrade which never materialized. Other than that, its a really great place to stay in Crawley! :)
“Very Nice and Convenient”
The Arora International Gatwick is very nice and convenient for those traveling with an overnight layover and for those catching a connecting flight from Gatwick in London the next day. For the bus ride from Heathrow to Gatwick; catch the National Express and get a round trip ticket (good for 30 days so you can use it on your way back). You'll need to call the Arora for shuttle service from Gatwick to the hotel. Be sure to ask the hotel desk personnel about shuttle service in the morning if you have an early flight to make arrangements for a wake up call and to be sure there will be a shuttle driver available. Gatwick has train service to London near by but no access to the tube so getting around can be a little pricey. The hotel accommodations were very comfortable and clean. There is a pub and restaurant located off the hotel lobby that is very reasonable and very good if your exhausted and don't want to venture out.
“The trains woke me up in the night, but otherwise, the hotel was good”
Prices of food and drink too expensive....but room service was good....when we were checking out, we were charged for stuff we never took, but upon review of the bills (signatures etc) it was cleared up...the train track parallel to the hotel was a bit of a bother, as the noise was constant, but got used to it after a while...cards to access the elevator always gave some trouble, but worked after about 4 tries...
