"Unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing due to the poor condition of the property and the lack of satisfactory customer service. The issues I encountered included: - The Beds were in very poor condition and uncomfortable. - Although the property was advertised as non-smoking, there was a strong cigarette smell throughout the building and in the room. - The towels appeared unclean and had hair on them, raising serious concerns about the hotels hygiene standards. - The customer service was poor, and my concerns were not addressed adequately. The conditions of the hotel did not meet reasonable standards, Front desk and staffing ignored every word you said, and had arguments with everyone stopping at the front desk. Please if you are traveling with Kids DO NOT STAY THERE, its NOT for Families."

"Property was unkempt kids running from the pool wetting the hallway no staff keeping an eye out in case someone fell. While having breakfast housekeeping started mopping the floor with a strong smell. Which made some of us leave the breakfast area."

Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel

"This hotel wins on location being very central to 94 giving easy access to northern suburbs and the city while also being in arms reach to NorthShore suburbs. There are no hotels in the area that offer such convenience in terms of location. This convenience comes at a price. While the hotel is recently remodeled, I feel like corners were cut everywhere. The plumbing is in horrible shape. First room had a shower head that faced the ceiling and was not usable. Second room had it pointing at the wall making it inconvenient. Faucets had parts missing (both shower and sink). The shampoo holder kept falling off. The faucet required a lot of finesse to get it to the right temperature. Etc. The shower is super narrow (I’m on the smaller side and still had to stand under an angle to not have my elbows hitting the sides. TV didn’t work in one room (same one as the coping facing shower head) and remote barely worked in the second (on a constant delay trying to catch what I was getting to). I stay at this hotel 15-30 days a year due to the convenience, but nothing more. Wish there were more options in the area that would create completion and force them to keep up."
