“Excellent!”

I had a wonderful experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone seeking a unique experience in travel accomodations. The tiger-print bathrobe was a plus.

“Very nice stay at Helix”

Front desk staff was super! We booked through Expedia minutes before arriving to the hotel. She upgraded us to a very nice room, a late check out of 2 PM, and gave us cocktail vouchers because we arrived after the wine reception (Kimpton hosts a wine reception from 5-6 every day with red/wine wine). The room was comfortable. Would have loved to have an Ipod hookup like other Kimpton's have. TV seemed a bit out of date. But honestly, these issues didnt matter much.

“Good stay bad food”

Everything was great about the hotel. The only issue was the food quality. We ordered the Mac and cheese along with mini burgers; the burgers were ordered medium but came out well, the Mac and cheese didn't have ham or bread crumbs.

“Great hotel, yummy food and wonderful staff!!”

We had such an amazing experience at the Helix. We requested an early check-in, they politely accomodated us, we requested a late check out and they were equalling accomodating. The wine and champagne happy hour was amazing and the food specials were priced so well that the taste far exceeded our expectations. Don't believe the bad reviews, the staff and the unique surroundings have made a wonderful impression on us. We have already told friends how great we were treated!

“Great Experience”

Our stay was wonderful! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was impeccable, comfortable, and chiq. We loved that we were able to order an all organic breakfast and the food at the restaurant was delish! I can't wait to stay there again. :)

“My new favorite hotel”

One of the best hotel stays I've ever had. Very unique, funky rooms and the friendliest staff I've ever met. Cannot beat the price for the location. Great places to eat and drink within a couple of blocks. Cool bar and patio area. Particularly great for singles/younger couples, but would still be a good family experience also.

“Groovy place to sleep”

This hotel is located in an excellent location in Dupont Circle. Close to very cool restaraunts and bars. The room was very clean and has a cool vibe - great decor and a lot of fun. The lobby is nice and has a great little outdoor patio. My only complaint is that the continental breakfast is $12 - kind of high for a bagel and fruit. But the area is expensive so I'm sure that's in line with anywhere you'd walk to for the same thing.

“Hip hotel - 5 minute drive from the National Mall”

The staff was fantastic and had great suggestions for nearby places to eat. Convenient 5 minute drive up 14th St to the National Mall. Hotel is pet friendly and also has no-pet floors for those with allergies. I'd happily stay at the Helix Hotel again!
