“Pleasant Stay”

I live in Walker and stayed in this hotel the night before my wedding. Having stayed in other La Quinta’s, I expected to be happy with the accommodations. Some family members also stayed in the hotel. They chose two rooms with double beds, I selected the single King. Unless you have a need for two beds I would suggest the King. The bed was very comfortable and the lack of a 2nd bed provided a great sitting/desk work area. If you need a hotel in Livingston Parrish you owe it to yourself to look into the Walker La Quinta. One thing to keep in mind for those not familiar with the area, Walker has a limited selection of restaurants, almost all choices will be fast food. Denham Springs which is 2 exits west of Walker has a large selection of sit down restaurants. (Chains as well as Mom & Pops)

Smelled clean, looked nice , and updated! Very friendly and efficient staff!

“Not the quality hotel you'd expect from LaQuinta”

It took 3 rooms when we first got there until we finally settled into a clean and working room. The water faucets either weren't working or water backed up into the bathtub. This hotel isn't old but it appears the staff isn't the caliber where the hotel is maintained to quality standards. The staff seemed nice but doesn't seem too knowledgable or don't work well together. Unfortunately we expected much better from LaQuinta than what we witnessed.
