"We had a fantastic holiday. Martine and Dirk are lovely hosts, so welcoming and friendly. The house and the pool are immaculate and very well looked after. We arrived to a fridge full of goodies and food for our first evening - a lovely surprise. Lots to see and do nearby and they provided fantastic suggestions for local restaurants which are not too far away. The pool is perfectly situated and is bathed in sun all day. They have a fabulous pool side house where you can also rest in the shade....

"The part of the house where we stayed was above charming. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was a pleasure to come back after a day of house hunting. Denise was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the entire area and kept us well supplied with wood for the little stove. "This house is charming and has lots to offer in warmer weather than March. Luckily the fireplace in the main living area had a blower and there were two heaters because there is no central heat. We blew the fuses several times using the heaters and hot water or cooking. Electricity is lacking and the listing says there is an oven, washing machine and two showers, this is not so. Also the stove is a two burner cooktop . BUT...besides the inaccurate amenities we enjoyed the ambiance of the house...

"This property is amazing! There's an old mill with a stream, a cute bridge and fish to watch. There are fruit trees, an outdoor bbq building, mountain views and a town nearby with everything you need. It's about 20-25 minutes away from the university town of Coimbra, which has lots of tourist attractions, major shopping, etc. Also, the owners are wonderful and so helpful. This was a great experience and vacation."

"The property was above all our expectations. Very clean, very comfortable, in short a home away from home. The kichen was very well stocked with all the kitchen utensils any chef would need. "The hotel was outstanding. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were great. They welcomed us with a glass of wine in the lovely patio area. The restaurant is small but really nice. Coimbra itself is extremely hilly, but the hotel is pretty convenient and not too steep a climb. Roads are very narrow if you're driving a car."
