Hotel is beginning to be renovated. It sure needs to be. Felt old.
Room was filthy and old. Bed linen was soiled and we had to buy sheets and blankets. Outlets didn’t work, lamps were broken, mouse traps everywhere, fridge was from a horror show! I cannot express how dirty it was and how rundown! Owner looked unkempt. One star is generous

The front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately, the first room we were in smelled so musty that we had to ask for another room. They request was handled very quickly and without question. The second room smelled pleasing but it was not cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom floor was visibly dirty. I could tell things had been wiped because I could see the smeared film on everything. I did not feel good about the room because of the cleanliness.
#1 The bed was comfortable. That is always important. The sheets were the wrong size. They were queen stretched to barely make the edge of the bed & wouldn’t, of course, stay on. It wasn’t made up when we got back in that night. The chair was broken but was replaced the next day. The smoke detector blared out at 5:45AM. Then again around 6:30 or so. They replaced the battery before we came back. No cover on the sink drain. Mold on the shower curtain & a moldy top on the ice bucket.
It was clean and organized. The staff was helpful.

Its ok.
All I needed was a room for the night and the most important part for me is a comfortable bed and a clean room. This definitely meets those needs. It's always nice to see an exterior motel that is kept clean and doesn't look like its had work boots tracking on the carpet for years.
Very clean. Room had a microwave, working refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. American owned with 100% American staff that was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Obviously all spoke perfect English. The eggs on the free hot breakfast were like unthawed hockey pucks but the rest of it was reasonably decent. The desk clerk told us that the motel was being bought out by a middle eastern company so I don't know how valid this review will be six months from now (May 5, 2016) but if nothing changes I would certainly stay here again.

friendly staff, but bring your own pillow
The staff was friendly. the breakfast was good. The room had a fridge and microwave. it was a reasonable drive to the racetrack which was the purpose of our trip. however there were only 3 pillows and when we asked for more we got one so the two we each had were small and barely equalled 1 normal pillow. I'm 6 months pregnant so this didn't allow for good sleep. Also our non smoking room did have a smell of cigarette smoke too.

One night stay....
Great hotel for a one or two night stay. Sylacauga isn't Disney Land, so my expectations were actually exceeded a bit. The room was clean, no odors, and very comfortable. Excellent wi-fi and a large flat screen TV for entertainment (limited channel selection with the exception of Showtime). There is a mini fridge in the room. The other standard amenities were present. The staff was very nice and very professional. I did not partake in the free breakfast offered so I cannot speak to it's value. There are several places to eat near by. All in all, a pleasant experience.
My mother stayed at the hotel while traveling and was treated very well by a team member named Andrew! She was a senior citizen traveling alone and Andrew made her feel safe and welcome. The hotel is a little dated, but clean and in a quiet area of town. Worth the $74.00 per night we paid for her to stay 10 days.
First, our reservation was for a smoking room and was prepaid. When we arrived, they had given away our room even though we had already paid for it!
The room they did give us was filthy. There was hair all over it. There was hair in the bed, all over the bathroom, and just all around the room. It was obvious it hadn't really been cleaned. The overall condition of the hotel is worn down and threadbare. Disgusting
We've stayed here many times before and though it is a little worn, it's always been extremely clean. This room had hair all over it, especially in the bathroom which was particularly gross. The bathtub was also filthy. I was very disappointed.

Family
We have stayed here before it was great location friendly stuff all above great stay more than likely to stay here every stay
The Quality Inn was a nice surprise, especially considering the rate (I stayed in Sylacauga -- my hometown -- for a few days to spend with family). The staff was quite friendly, and the room was much, much nicer than what I expected. The hotel was having issues with their key programmer, so each time we tried to get back into the room, we would have to have it re-keyed. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. On the other hand, if you stay here, BYOP (bring your own pillow) as the ones there are horrendous.
I am a frontdesk/housekeeping employee so i look and notice EVERYTHING....When I arrived at hotel the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful to tell me where the room was located and what to expect and honest!!When coming into a room also being housekeeper i check room I go back to front bathroom was okay small but okay beds was neat could use to be pulled tighter nice and clean until a/c lady's that should be #1 to clean I'm not unsatisfied with stay by all means i would defitly stay here every trip and recominding to my family to come and stay for family reunion coming up in July Thanks so much for the happy stay!!!!
Since this hotel is in Sylacauga, it was a good choice for going to Talladega Speedway which is about 30 minutes north. It was a beautiful drive with little traffic since we went the back roads.
Excellent, easy check-in and out. Staff very helpful with directions to different locations, etc.

On our way home
Just needed a place to stay heading back from a trip to north Alabama. Found a good deal on this hotel and would stay there again. We had our dog and the hotel is pet friendly.
